Project of the Week: Designed by Mohtashami_Reza, the main idea of the design is based on a combination of modern style and organic style. In the style of organic architecture, there is a balance between humanity and its surroundings. Eco-materials and sustainable energy are used. It is believed that the surrounding nature should be used in the interior design space of the house and flow in it.

"The site is therefore peppered with various farm buildings, ruins and a byre in which our new house sits. These agricultural relics drove the formal organization of the house and in particular the ruins of the gabled byre. The resultant house, split into two wings, nestles into the rebuilt stone walls which drive the main architectural expression of the building. Essentially a house of two gables, on approach, you enter through the stone gable into a courtyard garden from where you are presented with a framed view of Hynish and a row of lighthouse cottages designed by Alan Stevenson."

Unsurpassed in its perfection, the Margravial Opera House in #Bayreuth is a perfect example of 18th century courtly architecture and is considered one of the most important architectural monuments to the absolutist society. It was built between 1746 and 1750 for Margrave Friedrich von Brandenburg-Kulmbach and his wife Wilhelmine. In terms of its scale and splendour, it was comparable only with the opera houses in Vienna, Dresden, Paris and Venice.

The Brutalist House, is designed in Iceland on the form of flipped container but the sides of it replaced with a panoramic glass guaranteeing 360 degrees view on the beach in the ground floors. Moreover, the total space of the project is 750 sq.m with two floors. The ground floor contains living, and dining room attached with a bathroom and a kitchen. The creativity of design is manifested in the terrace where you can see the whole view in front of you while you are enjoying your coffee in the first hours of morning.

"Three independent yet interrelated institutions: the glass museum (Musée du Verre et du cristal) – a living memory tracing the history of glass at the site; the CIAV (Centre International d’Art Verrier) – an international glass art center where traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary practices; and the Cadhame (Halle verrière) – a multidisciplinary cultural space hosting art installations, happenings and concerts are sited at varying floor levels. Our intervention unifies them to define a contemporary institutional identity in dialogue with an industrial heritage.

Located at Taipei’s Shilin Night Market marked by its vibrant street culture, OMA's Taipei Performing Arts Center is architecture in limbo: specific yet flexible, undisrupted yet public, iconic without being conceived as such. Three theaters plugged into a central cube allow performing spaces to be coupled for new theatrical possibilities. The cube is lifted off the ground for a Public Loop to extend the street life of Taipei into the theater. New internal possibilities and connections of the theater generate different relationships between producers, spectators, and the public, also a critical mass that works as a fresh, intelligent icon.
