Bitcoin comparison with 2020 cycle
While everyone's losing their minds, BTC has developed it's most bullish price pattern in history - again.
In 2020, directly after the pandemic crash, Bitcoin repeated what we're doing today with shocking accuracy.
1. Steep drop.
2. Sharp recovery.
3. Higher low.
4. Choppy sideways trading range.
5. Breakout that melts faces.
In 2020, Bitcoin used this setup to rally from $4,000 to $69,000.
So far, Bitcoin has followed in every single one of those steps apart from step 5.
If Bitcoin runs from here, we’re easily looking at Bitcoin north of $100,000.
This becomes a lot more likely if the stock market also rallies hard at the same time.

Full recovery - in line with our earlier analysis.
We’re back to eyeing up resistance in the low 90s but BTC should have a much better shot at breaking these resistance levels now that it’s pulled off a correction.

Little liquidation hunt on BTC.
TradFi unaffected.

BTC is off to a strong start on this recovery.
If it can get above the red line (93,730), I think it’ll fly up to at least 98,000 if not much higher.
It’s way too early to call for a bottom, but every sign we need to make that judgement is showing up - so far.

Somehow, with BTC sliding below $90,000
Alts have managed to gain ground against Bitcoin.
BTC.D (dominance) just took another -0.5% hit.
It’s now sitting at 58.92% which is a huge drop from 59.43% on the daily open.
Smart money is increasing risk in this panic and the numbers can’t hide that. BTC.D going down means rotations including BTC —> SOL, LTC, WIF (lol) and others.
This is definitely promising but it means nothing without a bounce on BTC and so far, BTC is still in weak posture.
We’ll watch to see how that changes because BTC is well overdue for a correction back up to, or beyond, $100,000. If that move does start to take shape soon, this early altcoin strength could signal which coins will rally hardest next.

If Bitcoin manages a rally, we will have to watch to see if it turns into a bull trap. A bull trap is where prices go up to mislead bulls and get them to buy in at the top. If that's what we get, we could be headed much lower because it's one of the best confirmations of a bear market being underway.
However, if BTC produces a rally that STICKS, all bearish ideas would generally have to be thrown out of the window.
