⚡️ Do not miss the webinar held by Deminor 🧐 This year’s Vis Moot problem involves the question of whether or not Claimant should be ordered to produce the LFA and ATE contract it secured for the pursuit of the Arbitration. Many Moot Court Students will most likely not have dealt with Third-Party Funding or After the Event Insurance in their legal education so far. This can make it hard to deal with the legal and strategic issues involved. 🎯 We at Deminor have therefore decided to hold a compact Webinar for Mooties and Coaches that will provide an overview of the following topics:   - What is Third Party Funding and what does a Funder do? - The typical Investment Process of a Funder - Structure of an LFA - what do the Parties typically agree upon? - Peculiarities of Third-Party Funding in Commercial Arbitration - What is ATE Insurance and how does it work? We will, however, NOT dive to the specific issue and discuss any arguments, though - sorry! That is your job. The Webinar will be led by Dr. Malte Stübinger, who is an Ex Vis Mootie and multiple Coach for University of Hamburg himself, and leads the German activities of Deminor Litigation Funding as their General Counsel Germany. 📅 28 October 2025 🕰12:00 PM (CET) – 1:30 PM (CET) | 03:00 PM (GMT+5) - 04:30 PM (GMT+5) ✍️ Please register via e-mail to hamburg@deminor.com by 24 October to receive the dial-in link. 🫰Participation is free of charge. 👉 Follow us at vismoot.t.me

⚡️33rd Vis Moot Problem released.
The Case for the 33rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is out! The Aranda Singapore Convention on Mediation featured above has gotten a (virtual) sister: the Vanilla Planafolia Mediterreaniensis. I am very grateful to the numerous colleagues from SIAC, form third party funders and from the CISG Advisory Council which helped in developing the case as well as to usual suspects for comments and input. A special thanks goes to my PhD students Nina Erbach, Caidan Wang and Almira Wissenberg for their research on the various issues and the final editing. I am looking forward to the numerous educational events organized by the many supporters of the Vis Moot … with the hope that they leave the solution of the actual problems to the students, at least until February 😊 🙏 See you in Vienna! ⚠️ Team results and individual scores. Dear Teams, It has come to our attention that many of you cannot download their team results and individual scores . This has happened because we inactivated the accounts of teams who did not make it to Vienna and had to be replaced by substitute teams. This has caused disruptions in the database and we are working with our IT to restore the status to how it was before the deactivation. The inactivation has also resulted in the deletion of the scores for those pleadings which were originally scheduled against those teams. Consequently, some teams have only found the scores of three hearings in the message send to them. That has naturally also affected the ranking finally communicated to the teams. The deletion had, however, no bearing on the questions of whether a team would have made it to the elimination rounds or a speaker would have obtained an honorable. These decisions were based on an offline list, prepared and double checked by the scoring team and us already before the announcement of the same during the moot week. You may understand that we cannot send individual emails to each team. Please bear with us until our IT has solved the problem and the scores and results are available in your team account. This should be at some point next week. Further to that, we will also try to upgrade our database so that all teams should be able to download them immediately after they are available. With kind regards, The Vis Moot Directors. 👉🏻 Follow us at vismoot.t.me
