this is a guy who can't cross, can't press particularly well, not extraordinary gifted physically, no burst of pace, can't consistently get past defenders, no right foot. ok, you made a bad decision because you were desperate for a winger and you thought he'd translate better from the Eredivisie than he did. but off the pitch? you've worked with him for two years. coming off almost allowing greenwood to continue at the club; another player is bringing shame to us and its our 100m signing. great

the rise of assault cases and the horrible treatment of their partners by footballers is genuinely shameful and digusting, even more so that 2 of them are occuring at our club. surely to make such a large signing that player's personal life has to be okayed? how can we even associate with or sign a player like that?

Statement: "In light of the facts which came to light on Monday (04/09) concerning Manchester United player Antony, which must be investigated, and in order to safeguard the alleged victim, the player , the Brazilian national team and the CBF, the organization informs that the athlete has been removed from the Brazilian national team." #MUFC

Gabriela Cavallin says Antony physically attacked her for the first time in June 2022, after he had a 'jealous crisis' when she was pictured in a nightclub: "He said that if I didn't stay with him, I wouldn't stay with anyone. That I was pregnant with his child. Either I would stay with him or me, him and our son would die. I told him I was pregnant, that he was scaring me, making my heart race. I was shaking with fear." Gabriela Cavallin recalls the time Antony tried to hit her in the face with a glass: "Antony locked the door of the house and wouldn't let me go out, and I had my finger open, all hurt. He broke my things, took my passport. His mother and stepfather even trapped him inside the football court, he had a football court inside his living room, surrounded by a fence. He was upset, trying to get out of the court in any way, throwing a football at me, throwing a cell phone at me. He said he was going to kill me, that he was going to kill himself." [@UOLEsporte]

Antony is being investigated by the Sao Paulo court for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin. UOL has had access to photos, videos, conversations and testimonies from witnesses which reveal threats, intimidation and physical attacks from Antony. One of the videos of the investigation shows an injury that exposed the bones of Gabriela's fingers. [@UOLEsporte]
