Kickoff

🗣 Erik ten Hag: "No [Antony's absence has nothing to do with Thursday]." [Sky Sports]

Ten Hag: "Yes [Maguire is playing because Lindelöf is ill]." [sky]

Subs: Bishop, Dubravka, Malacia, Fred, Sancho, Pellistri, Van de Beek, McTominay, Garnacho. #MUFC

Manchester United Team vs West Ham: De Gea, Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Elanga, Fernandes, Rashford, Ronaldo. #MUFC

Erik ten Hag: “Did Cristiano Ronaldo apologize? Enough said on that, so I gave enough explanations. We are happy that he’s here, Cristiano is an important player”. 🔴🇵🇹 #MUFC “Thursday he scored and we are happy about that. He can even be more important”.

🗣️ Dalot: "But it’s only a mirror of what we are doing on the pitch. If you’re doing everything for the club, I think #mufc fans see that, and we want to get them behind us as much as we can — and I think it’s growing, the connection between us." [@TimesSport]

🗣️ Dalot on #mufc's season: "I see this season as a transitional period. For the club, the team, the players. We still have to improve. As a squad, in terms of connection between manager and players, and between players and fans — which I think is getting better." [@TimesSport]

🗣️ Dalot: "And I really like this manager. He asks me to do different things, different types of roles in different games and I just try to adapt as much as I can." [@TimesSport]

🗣️ Dalot: "And now, you are seeing that full backs are able to play different positions, playing a little bit more on the midfield, doing almost like double sixes, and playing as No 8s, No 10s. I like it because it makes me try to be complete." [@TimesSport]

🗣️ Dalot: "When switching play, the full backs are one of the first players you try to look for. So, more or less everything ends on full backs these days." [@TimesSport]

🗣️ Dalot on full backs: "We’re the first players who start to build up from the back. When you’re pressing, you want to press when the ball goes to the full backs. The full back is often the one who changes the team’s shape with their positioning." [@TimesSport]

🗣️ Dalot: "It [starting every game under ten Hag] makes me proud. It shows he has confidence in me and I want to give it back and be a reliable and important player for the team, and deliver and help everyone. This is what I’ve been fighting for all these years." [@TimesSport]
