Ten Hag: “We had many more games without Casemiro… We did really well without Casemiro against Arsenal, Leeds and also at the start of the season but I want to have Casemiro available. He has huge impact on our game.”

Ten Hag: “I thought we needed one of the staff who was specific for strikers and Benni [McCarthy] is doing a good job. But don’t forget others in the staff because it is about teamwork. The staff is about balance.”

Ten Hag on Marcus Rashford’s improvement: “I think the most important [aspect] of course [is] the way of play that gives him base and structure and the way of play is in his favour. I knew his skills. You also bring staff around who can make him better and make him progress.”

Ten Hag on Marcus Rashford: “He progressed during the season. He was not in the best shape when he started the season but the way of playing gives him a base and he brings his skills in and his attitude and mentality and that is bringing in a lot of progress and gives the team a lot of joy and gives him a lot of goals and us a lot of wins.”

Ten Hag: “We have to set a winning culture. We are #mufc. We have to win all the games we have to compete in all the leagues. That is the mentality. The mentality is when you go into a game you have to win it.”

Ten Hag: “Others in the club are dealing with potential investors. My job is focus on the game so let’s talk about the game Fulham, it is a big tie so let’s get ready for that.”

Ten Hag on Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “I just met him and shook hands but I am focused on the game. We play a big game on Sunday and all our focus is on that.”
