🔥Abathsahayeshwarar Temple🔥 In News: Abathsahayeshwarar Temple Receives UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation About Abathsahayeshwarar Temple: • Location: Situated in Thukkatchi, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. • Constructed during the reigns of Vikrama Chola & Kulothunga Chola of the Chola dynasty. • The surrounding village was historically called Vikrama Chozheeswaram and Kulothunga Chola Nallur, named after the Chola rulers. • Kulothunga Chola installed the idol of Aadhi Sarabeshwarar in the temple. • Houses deities like Soundaryanayaki Ambal & Ashtabhuja Durga Parameshwari. • The temple complex consists of five prakarams (enclosures). About UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation: • Established in 2000, the award recognizes the efforts of individuals and organizations in Asia & the Pacific to restore and conserve heritage structures. • Honours private and community initiatives to restore, adapt, and preserve historic properties.
