Key Points to Know:
Symptoms 😷: Fever 🌡, Runny nose 🤧, Cough 🗣, Sore throat 🦠, Headache 🤕, Tiredness 😴, Ear pain, and chest pain from coughing.
How is it different?

Milder than typical pneumonia 🌬, it doesn’t usually impact daily activities much!
The Silent Type 🤫: Sometimes, X-rays show lung fluid, but people may feel little to no symptoms!

🌿✨ Revolutionizing Packaging with Bio-Derived Foam! ✨🌿
Why in News?
Researchers at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru have developed an eco-friendly bio-derived foam that could change the game in FMCG packaging! 🌍💚
Made from bio-based epoxy resins sourced from non-edible oils and hardeners from tea leaves, this foam offers a sustainable alternative to harmful plastics like expanded polystyrene (EPS) and polyurethane (PU). 🫖🍃
Key Highlights:
✅ Sustainable & Eco-Friendly: It disintegrates in landfills without polluting groundwater and can break down in just 3 hours when exposed to eco-friendly solvents. 🌱
✅ Environmentally Responsible: Unlike plastic foams, which take hundreds of years to decompose, this bio-foam can be reprocessed or dissolved, promoting a circular economy. ♻️
✅ Lower Carbon Footprint: Producing 10,000 plastic foam cups generates 308 kg of greenhouse gas emissions. Let’s reduce this with bio-foams! 🌍💨
✅ Big Market Potential: The Indian foam market, worth USD 7.9 billion, is expected to grow to USD 11.1 billion by 2032, with a 3.85% CAGR! 📈
This innovation is not just a breakthrough in material science but a step towards a cleaner, more sustainable planet. 🌎💚
