Repost from Woden's Folk
Photo unavailableShow in Telegram
Nietzsche's 'Eternal Recurrence' is based upon the fact that energy and force is not unlimited or eternal, it is limited in nature. Thus, there are events that recur again and again in cycles. But this cyclic process is in the form of a Spiral, since there is a natural upwards movement of spiritual evolution. The Golden Age of Innocence was the 'childhood' of Man; the coming Golden Age - the Age of the God-Man or Superman - will be the 'adulthood' of Man. This is why the Human Ego was evolved, that this can be transmuted from the 'I' to the Absolute 'I' (Miguel Serrano).

Repost from Woden's Folk

The Tarot Card called 'The Hanged Man' seems to suggest that Woden hung upside-down on the World Tree. Many Northern Heathens depict him in this way. There are suggestions in Hinduism that they saw the World Tree itself as being upside-down, and the late Jost Turner used this image in his work. The symbolism above is of a Cross (Matter) above a Triangle (Spirit). Since the World Tree here represents a physical form, then this suggests the descent of Spirit into Matter. Woden and the Woden Avatars descend into the physical world in order to aid their Folk.

The thing about "enlightenment" that we should be wary of is that it's presented as if it were a reward for following instructions and doing work. Following instructions and doing work is how we get paid, right? So if we follow the steps outlined in the guru's book, we'll have the mind-blowing psychadelic experience that's described in the introduction. Right? Of course. We want to get paid for our work. Let's go, time is money! Get with the program! The problem is, a guru who tells you that the reward for Work is Work, won't sell many books or fill up many auditoriums. The teacher who told us not to worry about the reward and just do the practices, probably wasn't very exciting to us, and we ignored him. Who wants an apple when there's apple flavored candy? Sorry to disappoint, but you are not enlightened. You don't get paid in enlightenment. You can't sell inner light. You can't get it on tap from another being. Don't seek enlightenment. You will fail. Just do the work. Nothing else.

ENLIGHTENMENT SUCKS One can't be brought under mind control unless, on some level, one wants to be. So why do so many people do it? It's truly remarkable how willing so many in the West have been to cut themselves off from all reason and submit themselves - spiritually, mentally, financially, even sexually, in exchange for what they think is enlightenment. These are supposed to be modern, literate, discerning people with refined intellect and access to all the world's combined knowledge. And yet they give themselves over utterly to predatory gurus, fads, superstitions and cults of every kind. They conjure phantoms in their own imaginations and convince themselves that they've seen miracles. They stifle the voice of reason within themselves as a mean hindrance to the great reward, which is perpetually just out of reach. This is a broader net than just the pseudo-spiritual "cult" phenomenon. If we actively step back, we'll notice the same mental domineering being enthusiastically consumed. It's everywhere!

Authoritarian religious systems, or rather political systems that masquerade as spirituality, will decry any path of direct divine experience as "Left Hand Path." This is supposed to be scary-sounding, conjuring images of barbarism. In reality, Left-hand is primarily concerned with breaking taboos, while Right-hand sometimes has good reason for establishing them. If we're confused about what's "left hand" or "right hand," which is very easy to do, we can think of it this way. The left hand is governed by the right hemisphere of the brain, which is picture-oriented, intuitive, receptive to the environment, utterly innocent of all boundaries (even bodily). The right hand, by contrast, is wired to the left-brain, characterized totally by boundaries - authority, language, categorization, calculation, judgment, and so forth. The left hand is magically associated with "recieving," while the right is associated with "bestowing." Notice the right hand of God touching the left hand of Adam. What was meant by this?

DO STOP BELIEVING All genuine spiritual practices have these two things in common: they empower the individual, and they rely on accountability. Imagine a spiritual doctrine that neither presumes absolute ownership over Truth, nor rests that Truth solely upon its own authority. Imagine if this doctrine, instead of beginning with the assumption that it has all the answers, instead taught each to discover those answers within himself, confident that a genuine seeker arrives precisely at his or her proper place within the natural Order? We will never find such a doctrine in a mainstream thought movement, because empowering the individual to Know, rather than simply believe, would threaten the power structure of which mainstream thought is part. Adherence to a ruling ideology, whether that's religious or social, is necessary to maintain a docile peasantry. And purveyors of dogma, make no mistake, mean to be our lords. If we want to advance, we have to possess firsthand knowledge. Belief is a poor substitute.

"...In a condition of natural, tribal love for our own Folk, we can begin to understand the significance of a genuine universal love of all mankind. From this natural condition, we can feel an honest love for other Folk: in their own natural environment; with their own values; working toward their own higher evolution, in their own way and in their own time. That is the true brotherhood of man! With the flowering of our heart's natural love, we can clearly see the enemy. We can see that our enemy is not the Negro. It is not the Asian or the Latino. Our enemy is not International Finance, or World Jewry. They are all just symptoms of a deadly disease, which is our only real enemy: the deadly disease of selfishness." -Jost3

"As I think, so I feel, so I act." When ego consciousness emerges, the lower energetic centers become dominant. The need to survive and grow makes a high level of egocentrism crucial to survival. A human baby is an example of egocentrism in its proper place. As we mature, however, we are expected to conquer the lower aspects of the self and bring them under the command of the higher aspects. "As I think..." The complete human being processes the world and acts through the command of the intellect, the aspect of self closest to divinity. Here in the head is the seat of consciousness, the capitol city of the empire of the body. In a justly-ruled kingdom, no impulse is entertained that does not first pass through this domain. "...so I feel..." No thought is translated into action without passing the test of the heart. Here is the office where courage and empathy are put to the test. We desire, we are able. But should we? "...so I act." Intention and courage are above, but follow-through is of the gut.
