Flagpoling limited at 12 U.S.-Canada border crossings Flagpoling, when a non-Canadian with a temporary status leaves Canada and re-enters within 24 hours to get same-day immigration services at the border, is facing new limitations at the borders. The process is a workaround that can let people skip the long wait times associated with applying online — and it's completely legal. It can be done at any point of entry but is generally done at land border crossings. In many cases, there is a spot indicated by flagpoles where a person can turn around on the other side of the crossing, which is where the practice gets its name from. ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

'He really, really stinks': Wilson the dog rescued after 2 days in a Kempt Shore culvert Wilson, an 11-year-old mixed breed dog, was rescued from a culvert pipe after being trapped for two days. Owned by Lynn and Gary Beazley, Wilson went missing during a walk on their horse farm in Kempt Shore, N.S. His companion, Tennessee, led Lynn to the culvert where Wilson was stuck. After unsuccessful attempts to free Wilson, Lynn called the fire department. Andrew Crossley, a slender volunteer firefighter, was chosen for the rescue due to his size. He donned a dry suit and crawled into the tight space, eventually pulling Wilson to safety with the help of his colleagues. Wilson, though dehydrated and sore, is recovering at home, albeit emitting a strong odor from his ordeal in the drainpipe. ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

Meet the British Columbians whose names match their lives Usain Bolt, the sprinter. Scott Speed, the racing driver. And Jake Butt, the award-winning tight end. Sometimes you come across apt names for people that are simply too good to be true — names that are befitting of their jobs or where they end up in life. The idea of nominative determinism — that your name ends up matching what you do in your life — isn't a new one, and a psychologist says the phenomenon has been observed in large-scale studies of entire countries' census data. ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

Police investigate suspected arson at Vancouver synagogue A fire was set in the doorway of the Congregation Schara Tzedeck synagogue in Vancouver's West Side, prompting outrage from the city's Jewish community leaders. The Vancouver Police Department has launched a criminal investigation, stating that they believe an accelerant was used, indicating arson. Fortunately, no one was inside the building at the time, but a few congregation members nearby heard a bang and were alerted by a passing driver. They managed to extinguish the fire before it caused significant damage. Rabbi Andrew Rosenblatt expressed gratitude that the incident didn't result in more severe consequences, but acknowledged the intimidation felt by the community. ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

Communities hit by 2021 floods denied recovery funding: mayors B.C. communities damaged by flooding in November 2021 say they've been left high and dry after being denied disaster funding from the federal government without an explanation. Last week, Merritt Mayor Michael Goetz said he learned his city wasn't going to get the $46.5 million it needed to reconstruct and improve a dike that was destroyed about two-and-a-half years ago. "I [was] not only surprised, but disappointed," Goetz told CBC's Daybreak Kamloops host Shelley Joyce. An atmospheric river in 2021 brought heavy rains and flooding to several parts of B.C., forcing thousands of people from their homes and destroying houses and businesses. ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

Health Canada must reconsider man's bid to use magic mushrooms for cluster headaches, Federal Court rules A 51-year-old Calgary man suffering from debilitating cluster headaches has won a Federal Court battle against Health Canada's denial of his request for legal access to medical-grade psilocybin, the active ingredient in hallucinogenic mushrooms. Ottawa Federal Court Judge Simon Fothergill granted his application for judicial review, criticizing Health Canada's decision as "unreasonable." The ruling emphasized the importance of considering patients' Charter rights. The denied request was filed through Health Canada's Special Access Program (SAP) in July 2023, citing psilocybin's potential to alleviate cluster headache pain. Health Canada rejected the application, citing insufficient research on psilocybin's efficacy for this condition. The decision has implications for others seeking access to psilocybin for medical purposes. ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

Kamloops, B.C., council removes mayor as city spokesperson The city council of Kamloops, B.C., has decided to remove Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson from the role of the city's official spokesperson following ongoing feuds with councillors and staff. This decision follows a series of controversies during Hamer-Jackson's tenure, including investigations into workplace safety, a defamation lawsuit, and clashes with council members. A recent scathing report criticized the mayor's conduct, prompting a non-binding vote for his resignation. Now, the deputy mayor will serve as the city's official spokesperson, with letters sent to provincial and local stakeholders to inform them of this change. The move aims to improve communication within the city and with external parties, as communication has deteriorated over the past months. Although the resolution was not intended to silence Hamer-Jackson, it aims to prevent disruptions and misinformation. Further sanctions on the mayor are being considered by the council to ensure the city's smooth operation. Winnipeg church that needs $7M in repairs could be sold under certain conditions, bishop says Holy Trinity Anglican Church, located on the corner of Smith Street and Graham Avenue in Winnipeg's downtown, has significant structural damage in need of repair, including water damage and cracks that creep up the walls around the altar and elsewhere in the building. Holy Trinity's latest annual report, released in February, said the parish has been aware since the late 1980s that "major repairs to build a foundation under the historic church would be necessary to avoid a collapse." Without the repairs, estimated to cost about $7 million, "structural failure and/or the building being condemned is likely a matter of months to a few years at most," an April post on the diocese's website said. ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

Seal hunt advocate claims vindication, as Senate committee urges help for industry A Senate committee report titled "Sealing the Future: A Call to Action" highlights the challenges faced by the Canadian seal harvest industry and proposes recommendations to address them. Led by activist Aaju Peter, who protested European legislation banning sealskin products in 2007, the report's release signifies a sense of vindication for proponents of the industry. The report emphasizes the need for better management of seal populations and advocates for revitalizing the suffering seal-products industry. Key challenges include a lack of education about the sealing industry, prompting calls for national and international campaigns to promote Canadian seal products. Proponents argue that seal hunting aligns with efforts to combat climate change, as it is sustainable, non-polluting, and healthy. Additionally, the committee recommends changes to the Income Tax Act to revoke the tax-exempt status of non-profit organizations spreading misinformation about seal harvesting. Conservative Sen. Fabian Manning, the committee's chair, emphasizes the industry's plea for "equal treatment," comparing the scrutiny faced by the sealing industry to what would occur if similar challenges affected other agricultural sectors like beef or chicken.https://i.cbc.ca/1.3927864.1716925931!/fileImage/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/16x9_780/seal-hunt-2005.jpg ❤️Follow❤️: @canada #canadanews ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🆕 Finance News ✅@money 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 🇺🇸 US News @america 🇯🇵 Japan News @japan 🇦🇪 UAE News @dubai ▶️ Popular Movies @videos ⭐ Viral Video @viral 😜 Best Funny Video @funnys 🗝 Free Proxy Mtproto @vpns 💬 Free ChatGPT AI @AIGO

Doug Ford's change to booze sales could cost far more than $225M Premier Doug Ford's push to get beer and wine into convenience stores ahead of schedule will cost Ontario taxpayers at least $225 million, but there's evidence the full price tag actually adds up to hundreds of millions more. When the Ford government announced that it will pay the multinational owners of The Beer Store to allow what it calls "early implementation" of the expanded alcohol sales, it did not disclose the cost of other key components of its plan. Those components include: Giving private-sector retailers (including grocery and convenience stores) a wholesale discount of 10 per cent off the LCBO's basic retail price. Giving brewers a full rebate of what the LCBO calls its "cost-of-service fees" on wholesale beer sales.
