Another #internship, starting immediately with WATATAWA Consulting, a management & comms consultancy. (This one's obviously hard to apply for unless you're already on LOA, so do feel free to share this around!)
// the company & culture
- WATATAWA's specialised in investor relations and financial comms, so this is an excellent opportunity to experience those.
- Clients are very "corporate": "much more corporate than at the typical PR agency" i.e. not FMCG, consumer goods etc. so don't expect fun roadshows or after-dark parties.
// the job
Minimum 3 months; full-time highly preferred, but a part-time arrangement may be negotiable
// deets
See attached JD.
// poc
Send in your resume to info@we-watatawa.com; feel free to Telegram Vanessa (yes, another Vanessa) at 9627 4293 if you have questions.
There is a two-week internship level assignment starting immediately with Ruder Finn, a pretty reputed global firm.
The candidate will work as part of the crisis/risk management team there that is currently supporting a client dealing with an ongoing situation.
There is some flexibility in the working hours - can choose to work Monday to Friday, either 5 half days or 5 full days. The other option is 3 full days a week and 2 days off. Pay is the standard rate for interns in the industry.
Interested candidates can reach out to Vanessa directly on her mobile @ 97239743
Hi everyone, CCS has been busy over the summer to bring you the very best events. Learn more at our booth D11 in T-Junction, right opposite The Coffee Club! See you tomorrow! 😊
Hi all - hope you've got a great summer / dream internship ahead of you!
A quick update - I'm now part of the EXCO of SMU's newly-founded Corporate Communications Society, and am in talks with the rest of the team to bring better/more frequent stuff to this channel, as part of a broader effort to support Corp Comms majors in SMU (and ofc beyond).
I'll continue to keep you posted as the changes come. Have a good break!
#internship update -
// the job
Carat, media agency, 3m starting end-April. Experience not required - "we can train from scratch, but the intern must be willing to learn".
// deets
Rough JD:
- setting up media campaigns
- preparing reports
- liaising with clients
- other adhoc client requests (think competitor reviews etc.)
You'll learn about:
- the media landscape in sg
- media strategy and planning; how to set up ads and campaigns
- diff. digital platforms and how they can be used
Projects you'll be involved on TBC; depends on who you're allocated to.

Standby; pm me for now
other #stuff that others have found interesting / useful:
1. the Muzli Chrome Extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/muzli-2-stay-inspired/glcipcfhmopcgidicgdociohdoicpdfc), which replaces your default tab (which is probably Momentum) with a bunch of design feeds. Lots of stuff on UI/UX in particular.
2. Enhancv (https://enhancv.com/) which craps out lovely (albeit watermarked) resume/CV templates. Even if you don't want the watermark, it might help as a source of inspiration for designing your own.
As always - please let me know where you'd place this info on the particularly useful / completely worthless spectrum so I can bring you better stuff. thanks!
it's been a while since the last update - sorry about that. got an #internship you might have missed, as well as some resources to recommend that you might find useful, or at least interesting.
let's get to it:
// the job

(Missed the ball on this one, but Director Brian Witte is coming down to SMU tomorrow (9 Mar, 7-9pm). Online registration via SMU's career portal is alr. closed, but I'll be trying to get any useful info from anyone who's attending the talk.)

Checking: POC might want me to collate CVs but I understand if you'd rather keep it between them and yourself, so I'll let you know again if she's okay with receiving CVs piecemeal.
Feel free to PM with more qns and I'll pass them along.
Key corrections made - thanks to alum for flagging it out. Do lmk if you see anything that's awry/want to probe for more details!
(p.s. Sorry this is a little light on detail - i'm flying for exchange in t-4hrs so expect frequency to dip some over the next few months.
that said, i'll still be in contact from time to time with whatever companies/profs to scrounge up any offers i can find, and i'll drop jobs / websites / articles that look interesting if i find any.
let me know what you want to hear from this channel - see channel description to pm me as usual - and i'll tweak accordingly. cheers!!)
hey guys! sorry this is a bit late but spotted another #internship that went up yesterday evening:
// the job
JD: http://www.vrienspartners.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Job-description-for-Intern-Singapore.pdf
Attached JD is from Vriens & Partners, an advisory firm / consultancy specialising in political risk & regulatory / government affairs, and highly regarded in the APAC region. See deets.
Min. commitment = 6 weeks; loads of research + analysis involved - they've been hiring quite aggressively over the past few months so IMO expect things to move fast and responsibilities to shift quickly.
// deets
V&P is a major sponsor of http://publicaffairsasia.com/corporateaffairsforum/ - check the link to learn more (it's the 'go-to' c-suite event in the region for public affairs).

Here's another #internship:

// deets
See JD for a breakdown of responsibilities and expectations (including desired GPA!)
SMU alum says you can expect Ryan Communication's office to be:
- "nice and supportive", and
- fast-moving, with high-pressure situations as the norm

#internship
(Bit of a long shot if you're currently in the middle of uni term, but if you don't have exams / are currently free, it's worth a shot.)
// the job
Interbrand - a brand consultancy (www.interbrand.com) - is looking for a full-time / 4-days-a-week intern (undergraduate) for at least 2 months, from Feb - May '17.
Unfortunately, the commitment's non-negotiable, so please apply only if you're ready/able to commit to those terms.

• Coordinate new business tracking and carry out related administrative needs
• Support the Strategy Team with brand audits and related research on current client engagements

Expectations:

A past intern also had a good experience with "nurturing and open" co-workers, so this seems like a good opportunity to get your feet wet, particularly if you lean towards the qualitative.

hi guys - thanks for joining! I hope this makes the hunt for jobbles a little easier for you, esp. if you're uncertain / busy / lost in a sea of finance students.
