The Number of Stray Dogs Worldwide Is 200 Million (WHO)
This number is very debatable and much higher. Not every culture thinks it’s cute to have Fido sleep on the bed or eat with its hoomans at dinner. Many people find pet-human relationships gross. In other countries, families already share their beds. Free-ranging dogs don’t get invited into the house even if they own at least one dog.
A considerable problem is abandonment and no spaying/neutering programs to make sterilization affordable.
99% of All Rabies Cases in Humans Are Caused by Dogs (WHO)
It’s a heartless statistic. Rabies is a horrific disease for humans and animals and is entirely preventable through vaccination programs. Yet over 150 countries can’t get it under control.
Thousands of people, 40% are children, die needlessly from rabies in Asia and Africa. The cost of fighting rabies is $8.6 billion annually. You’d think that would buy some vaccines.

Basking in reflected glory (BIRGing) is a self-serving cognition whereby an individual associates themselves with known successful others such that the winner's success becomes the individual's own accomplishment.[1][2][3] The affiliation of another's success is enough to stimulate self glory. The individual does not need to be personally involved in the successful action. To BIRG, they must simply associate themselves with the success. Examples of BIRGing include anything from sharing a home state with a past or present famous person, to religious affiliations, to sports teams. For example, when a fan of a football team wears the team's jersey and boasts after a win, this fan is engaging in BIRGing.[4] A parent with a bumper sticker reading "My child is an honor student" is basking in the reflected glory of their child.[5] While many people have anecdotal accounts of BIRGing, social psychologists seek to find experimental investigations delving into BIRGing. Within social psychology, BIRGing is thought to enhance self-esteem and to be a component of self-management.[1]

Knowledge Is Power But Knowledge Without Action Is Useless
All the reading you do will only have entertainment value if it does not change your behavior and the way you think. Understanding something brings this change in the way you think and behave, where as merely knowing something makes no difference to your life.
Knowledge is power only when it changes your life. To truly understand what you learn, you must apply.
Any fool can know. The point is to understand. - Albert Einstein-
People retaine 90% when they teach someone. By teaching they begin to understand.

“Football is 30% tactics and 70% social competence.” – Julian Nagelsmann
Mental preparation is becoming paramount in football, clubs now employ full-time sport psychologists and players are undergoing psychological evaluations before being signed up by the clubs. It is now widely recognized that mental preparation is as important for success as the other attributes (physical, tactical, technical). Players need a good memory to learn skills and tactics, to make split-second decisions and to plan ahead. They must be resilient to failure, defeat and injury. It is no surprise that before investing in young players, modern clubs undertake mental evaluation as rigorously as technical or physical reviews. Mentality is what separates elite players from the rest - the drive to be the best and win, which motivates them to never stop improving.
1. Decision Making: Football is a fast-paced game requiring players to make split-second decisions constantly. The capacity to evaluate situations quickly, anticipate opponents' movements, and select the best course of action under pressure is a direct result of mental agility and preparedness.
2. Handling Pressure: Players often perform in front of tens of thousands of spectators, with millions more watching on television. The ability to manage this pressure, maintain focus, and deliver a consistent performance is rooted in mental strength.
3. Resilience: The journey of a professional footballer is riddled with setbacks – losses, injuries, and sometimes criticism. A strong mental fortitude allows players to bounce back from these challenges, maintaining a positive mindset and continually striving for improvement.
4. Learning and Adaptation: Football is an ever-evolving game. Teams constantly update their tactics, and players need to adapt their skills accordingly. This requires a strong cognitive ability, memory, and a willingness to learn and evolve.
5. Team Dynamics: Social competence, as Julian Nagelsmann pointed out, plays a huge role in football. The ability of players to communicate, understand each other, and work cohesively as a unit can be the difference between victory and defeat. This also involves understanding different cultures and backgrounds, especially in diverse teams.
6. Self-Belief and Motivation: Self-confidence influences a player's willingness to take risks, believe in their abilities, and strive for excellence. It's this inner belief that often differentiates elite players, pushing them to reach heights others only dream of.
7. Visualization and Goal Setting: Visualization techniques allow players to mentally rehearse scenarios, which can help in actual gameplay. Setting clear goals, both short-term and long-term, keeps players aligned with their ambitions and provides a roadmap for their journey.
