Between performances on my sold-out tour in Türkiye, I stepped out for a quiet walk through Istanbul.

| 7 | Few musical traditions move me the way Turkish traditional music does. There is a sophistication and a soulfulness to it that I have admired my entire life.
This September, I’ll be performing a special rendition of *Zâhid Bizi Ta’n Eyleme* — a piece that means a great deal to me. I cannot wait to share it with you in Türkiye. 💛🙏

| 8 | ‘Ecstasy’ in Dolby Atmos — available now 🎧
This album was conceived for exactly this: sound that surrounds, breathes, and moves. After many months of work, it is finally ready to be heard the way it was always meant to be. Don’t just listen. Be inside it 💛

| 9 | Twenty years on, and Hasbi Rabbi continues to move people in ways I could never have anticipated.
Its secret, perhaps, is that it was never mine alone — it belongs to a tradition far older and deeper than any single composition. What is truly rooted does not age.
It is one of those pieces I never tire of performing — and I cannot wait to bring it to Türkiye this September💛
📍 Ankara — 23 & 24 September, 9:00 PM — ATO Congresium
📍 Istanbul — 27 & 28 September, 9:00 PM — Istanbul Congress Center (ICC), Harbiye Auditorium

| 11 | Delighted to share the video release of ‘Eterna (Between Two Seas)’ — filmed live at Yenikapı, Istanbul, before 25,000 souls, with over eighty musicians as well as members of the Fons Sophia Collective.
This performance holds a special place for me. We brought many of the pieces from ‘Ecstasy’ to a live audience for the very first time — a full year before the album’s release. ‘Eterna’ was one of those pieces. And as always, the live version carries something the studio cannot fully contain: a rawness, a presence, a life entirely its own.
The words belong to two poets separated by centuries yet moved by the same fire — San Juan de la Cruz and Yunus Emre. That these voices found each other on a stage in Istanbul felt, to me, quietly inevitable.
And a particular word of gratitude to Isra Moro, for
his beautiful vocals.

| 15 | This piece was born in Baku — premiered at Timeless Presence, in partnership with UNESCO — and carried something of that city’s ancient soul into every performance since. Istanbul, 2025, marked only its second time performed live. Before 25,000 people, sold out, in one of the most musically alive cities in the world.
On this night, it was brought to life by musicians of rare sensitivity and skill:
Yakup Selim Şenel — Tanbur
Elvin Novruzov — Kamancha
Mehmet Ömer Aşçıoğlu — Classical Kemenche
Yunus Emre — Ney
Magsad Azizov — Balaban & Mijwiz
Zaki Valiyev — Tar
Together with the rest of the Fons Sophiae Collective, they gave everything.
To the audience that night — and to the Turkish audience more broadly — I want to say something I mean with complete sincerity: you are among the most discerning, most musically sophisticated audiences in the world. To be heard by you, truly heard, is an honour I do not take lightly.
September. Together again 🙏

| 17 | ‘Amada’ is now available.
Filmed live at Festival Park Yenikapı during the ‘Ecstasy: Between Two Seas’ concert, this composition by Sami Yusuf explores the soul’s surrender into the Divine. Rooted in the mystical poetry of San Juan de la Cruz, the performance captures a journey from symphonic richness to a visceral acoustic meditation.

| 20 | Out Now: BEING
There are moments in music where instruments fall silent, and voice becomes the entire landscape.
‘Being’ is one of those moments for me.
Performed by the extraordinary Voces8, this piece lives through the human voice alone. The only line, ‘nothing is real, but the Real,’ is carried with such delicacy and depth that their individual voices emerge as one living sound.
Working with Voces8 was a gift. They brought exactly the celestial dimension I was seeking in this composition.
This is pure voice. Pure listening. Pure being.
Composed and Arranged by Sami Yusuf
Vocals: Sami Yusuf
Choir: Voces8
