Man who allegedly leaked new 'AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER' film arrested for illegal server access
A 26 year-old from Singapore, who allegedly leaked the unreleased film The Legend Of Aang: The Last Airbender, has been arrested. Various electronic devices were seized, and a copy of the film was recovered from his devices.
According to Singapore Police Force, the man had gained remote access to the media-content server and downloaded the film. He is currently being investigated for unauthorised access to computer material, which carries a maximum jail term of seven years, a fine not exceeding $50,000, or both.

Hon. Sam George, one of the main sponsors of the anti-LGBTQ bill, has called on the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee to expedite their inquiry to fast-track the passage of the bill.
He assured the public that, like other African countries such as Uganda and Senegal, the bill will be passed without any economic consequences, but it must follow the necessary legal procedures.

A 69-year-old British widow died in a car crash in Ghana while attempting to recover money lost to a series of romance frauds, an inquest has heard.
Janet Fordham, a retired housekeeper from Honiton, Devon, UK fell victim to multiple online scams between 2017 and 2022, losing her home and life savings, estimated at between £800,000 and £1 million.
Fraudsters, posing as soldiers and diplomats, convinced her to send large sums through transfers and cash withdrawals despite repeated warnings from family and police.
In October 2022, Fordham travelled to Ghana after being contacted by a man known as Kofi, who claimed to be a doctor and offered to help retrieve her funds.
She was a passenger in a car driven by him on 14 February 2023 when the vehicle crashed en route from Accra to the Oti region. She died from head injuries.

Sally Benson, a Kumasi-based beautician and CEO of Sally’s Cosmetics Studio and African’s Special Pub in Asokwa, has been beaten to death by her boyfriend, Francis Arthur, a 48-year-old businessman. The incident is said to have occurred at Arthur’s residence in Ayigya-Maxima following an argument after Sally visited him with a female friend upon hearing that another woman had been at the house.
During the confrontation, Arthur allegedly assaulted her until she collapsed and later transported her in her own vehicle to KNUST Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. He has since appeared before the Asokore Mampong District Court and was remanded into police custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for May 8, 2026. Sally’s father, Apostle Gabriel Oppong, is demanding justice and calling for the law to take its full course.
