JNIM/FLA outlets claim they successfully broke out numerous prisoners from Kéniéroba's prison. The attached video shows the prison in the early hours of the morning from the point of view of a JNIM fighter.
One thing to learn here is to never trust the junta's words.
It should be noted that the Africa Corps is doing a "counter propaganda" by releasing as much footage as possible showing dead JNIM militants just like it did in the April 25 offensive.
That doesn't mean anything if you are loosing towns one by one, and it should be noted that for JNIM/FLA those losses are expected and normal, they spent weeks preparing for it so they already recruited more than they will loose.
They will claim that everything is under control and the attacks repelled just to see them withdrawing in humiliation and a map showcasing loss of territory in the upcoming days.

🏳️🏳️😞🇲🇱🇷🇺— Intense clashes are still on going in Anéfis and other towns
While JNIM claimed to have seized Konna. The junta's outlets claim the attack on Kéniéroba's prison center in Gao was repelled. (Won't trust their words if I were you)
Africa Crops seems to be only relying mostly on air strikes from drones and jets which one of them was shot down by anti aircraft weapons. (some type of SU)

⬛❌🇨🇩—17 Congolese soldiers killed and 20 wounded in clashes with ISCAP militants in the Haute-Uele province in the east of the country
On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, ISCAP militants ambushed a Congolese army foot patrol heading towards the village of Mungueré, where the militants were based, resulting in fierce clashes involving various machine guns and RPGs.
This resulted in the death of 13 soldiers and injuries to 20 others. The militants seized 9 rifles, 3 PKM machine guns, and 2 RPG launchers.
On Thursday morning, ISCAP militants attacked a Congolese army barracks near the village of Butongi, killing 4 soldiers and forcing the rest to flee. The barracks was burned and their rifles were seized.
It is worth noting that ISCAP operations expanded to Upper Ouili in late April and appear to be escalating, turning into another front of attrition.

🏳️❌🇦🇫🤝🇮🇷 — Both the Taliban and the leader of the apposing group "Northern Resistance," Ahmad Massoud, came today to mourn the death of Khamenei in Tehran.
Its weird we havent seen some Al-Qaeda leaders too, maybe Saif Al-Adl could've come since the last time he was seen was in Tehran-2012. Oh wait there's no need to, they already have Bay'ah to the Taliban so its the same thing.

🇺🇸🔴🇸🇴❌⬛— The U.S. says it will end support for the African Union peacekeeping mission in Somalia when its mandate expires in December 2026, citing Somalia’s failure to make enough progress against Al-Shabaab and take over security responsibilities.
That doesn't mean the U.S. support for the Somali "Danab" special force against Al-Shabaab in the south, nor Puntland Forces against IS-Somal in the north will stop.

For example: The last claimed IS attack in Damascus was an IED planted on the vehicle of the head of the "Justice Palace" department of the town of Babila, which led to the amputation of one of his legs. The other one was in the same way, a planted IED that targeted a Shia Cleric, detonating after he was on the vehicle on his way from a Shia Temple in the Sayyida Zaynab area of Damascus Countryside.
