Every year, so many of us make the same promise: "Optional, after Prelims." And every year, June arrives and that promise turns into panic. Hi everyone, Rudresh here. Let me put one number in front of you. Mains is 1,750 marks. Your Optional is 500 of them: more than a quarter of your Mains, in a subject you chose yourself. And yet it is always the first thing we postpone. I understand why. Prelims feels urgent, the Optional feels far away. But an Optional is not something you can cram in the weeks after Prelims. It needs time to settle, the way a river needs time to cut its valley. So here is the plan I'd give any Geography aspirant, inside GeoPrism or outside it: 🟠 November to January: finish the Optional, both papers, with writing. 🟠 February to May: Prelims, with a clear mind. 🟠 After Prelims: revise the Optional. Don't start it. The Optional you finish in winter is the Optional that saves you in summer. Tonight's small task: open the Geography syllabus and mark every line you can write 150 words on without notes. Be honest with the pencil. The unmarked lines are your winter. Sardi mein mehnat, garmi mein sukoon. ~ Rudresh

Tomorrow, GeoPrism begins. Tonight I want to tell you why I said yes to it. Hi everyone, Rudresh here. Most of you know three lines about me: IIT Kharagpur, ex-Forum IAS faculty, AIR 39 (CSE 2025) was part of my test series. Here is the part a poster can't carry. I gave five years to this exam and reached the interview twice. So I know what it is like to carry a whole year inside one result PDF. And in all these years, what hurt Geography aspirants most was never the syllabus. It was this: 🟠 Good guidance locked behind ₹30,000-40,000 fees. 🟠 Months of answers written with nobody checking them properly. 🟠 The Optional pushed to "after Prelims", every single year. When 128+ of you filled our form, you asked for exactly these things. So we kept GeoPrism simple: learn a topic, write on it the same week, get it checked, and talk about it one to one. The enrichment sessions are free, because a concept should never be a luxury. One promise from my side: I will teach Geography the way an engineer reads a system. What drives it, how it works, what it produces. Once you can see the system, no twist in a question can scare you. If you haven't yet, start with the free Unit 1 file: real topper diagrams, every fact checked. Kal se shuru karte hain. Bring a notebook, and a pencil for diagrams. ~ Rudresh
