Obsessive Desire

We walk in opposite directions our footsteps echoing on the cold pavement marking the distance growing between us To the world we are just two strangers passing by caught in the rush of life But against the cold stone of the wall our shadows tell a different story—a story of a lingerng embrace a whisper of a kiss and a connection that refuses to vanish It is the silent tragedy of moving on while our bodies find the strength to leave our souls remain frozen in the silhouettes of yesterday
