📍Medical Students Celebrate White Coat Ceremony   📌Saturday, October 17, 2026 | Wolkite University  📌📍 The College of Medicine and Health Sciences Students at Wolkite University held its official White Coat Ceremony today, marking medical students' transition into practical medical service and clinical training. This historic milestone in medical education symbolizes the students' humanistic transition from theoretical learning to direct patient care and lifesaving medical practice. During the ceremony, students joined their faculty members and the clinical team at Wolkite University Comprehensive Specialized Hospital to recite the professional oath, pledging their full commitment to the highest standards of responsibility, compassion, and dedication required by the medical profession.   Additionally, the Wolkite University branch of the Ethiopian Medical Students' Association (EMSA) was recognized for its unwavering support toward capacity building, student leadership, and exceptional spirit of service.

የሕክምና ተማሪዎች የነጭ ካፖርት ማልበስ ሥነ-ሥርዓት አከበሩ 📍 ቅዳሜ፣ ጥቅምት 07 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም. | ወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ  📌📍 የወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሕክምናና ጤና ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ ተማሪዎች፣ ወደ ተግባራዊ የሕክምና አገልግሎትና ክሊኒካዊ ልምምድ መሸጋገሪያቸውን የሚያበስረውን የነጭ ካፖርት የመልበስ ሥነ-ሥርዓት በዛሬው ዕለት  አክብረዋል። ይህ በሕክምና ትምህርት ጉዞ ውስጥ ዘመናትን የተሻገረ ትርጉም ያለው መርሃ-ግብር፤ ተማሪዎች ከንድፈ-ሐሳብ ትምህርት አልፈው የሰውን ልጅ ሕይወት ለመታደግና ለማስታመም የሚያደርጉትንሰብዓዊ ሽግግር የሚያመላክት ኩነት ነው። በዕለቱ ተማሪዎቹ ከመምህራኖቻቸው  እናበወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ኮምፕረሄንሲቨ ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል ከሚገኙ የክሊኒካል ቡድን አባላት ጋር በመሆን፣ የሕክምና ሙያ የሚጠይቀውን ላቅ ያለ ኃላፊነት፣ ርህራሄና ቁርጠኝነት በሙሉ ልብ ለመወጣት የሙያ ቃል ገብተዋል። በተጨማሪም የኢትዮጵያ ሕክምና ተማሪዎች ማህበር የወልቂጤ ቅርንጫፍ ለተማሪዎች አቅም ግንባታና መሪነት የሚያደርገው ያልተቆጠበ ድጋፍ እና ላሳየው የላቀ የአገልግሎት መንፈስእውቅና ተሰጥቶታል። ተማሪዎቹ በሥነ-ሥርዓቱ ማጠቃለያ ላይ የወደፊት ሕክምና ባለሙያነታቸውን እውን ለማድረግ በሚያደርጉት ጉዞ ኃላፊነታቸው ይበልጥ እየጎላ መምጣቱን በመገንዘብ፣ አዲሱን የሕክምና አገልግሎት ምዕራፍ በከፍተኛ ዝግጁነት መጀመራቸውን ገልጸዋል።

በዕለቱ የመስክ ምልከታ ወቅት የዩኒቨርሲቲው አቱርቸ እና ፈረዝየ የምርምር ማዕከላት የተጎበኙ ሲሆን፤ በመርሐ ግብሩ ላይ የወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር አብደልሙህስን ሃሰንን ጨምሮ የዩኒቨርሲቲው ከፍተኛ አመራሮች፣ የወልቂጤ ግብርና ምርምር ማዕከል ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ቤተል ነክር፣ የተቋማቱ የሥራ ኃላፊዎች፣ የቸሃ ወረዳ አመራሮች፣ ተመራማሪዎችና አርሶ አደሮች ተገኝተዋል።   The field visit brought together high-ranking officials, including Wolkite University President Dr. Abdelmuhsen Hassen, Vice President Dr. Yohannes Gebru, Wolkite Agricultural Research Center Director Mr. Betel Neker, institutional department heads, Cheha Woreda administrators, agricultural researchers, and participating farmers.

ከምርምር የሚገኙ ውጤቶች አርሶ አደሮችንተጠቃሚ ማድረግ እንዲችሉ ተቋማቱ በቅንጅት መስራት መቻላቸው አበረታች መሆኑ በመርሐ ግብሩ ላይ ተመላክቷል። በሁለቱ ተቋማት በትብብር በመከናወን ላይ የሚገኘው የጤፍ ምርጥ ዘር ብዜትና የምርምር ሥራ የግብርና ምርታማነት በማሳደግ ረገድ ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ እያበረከተ ይገኛል።   በመስክ ምልከታው በቸሃ ወረዳ አዘርና ሲሰ ቀበሌ በ40 ሄክታር መሬት ላይ የተተገበረው የጤፍ ዘር ብዜት ሥራ ከ60 በላይ አርሶ አደሮችን ተጠቃሚ ማድረግ መቻሉ ተጠቅሷል።   Participants underscored that strong inter-institutional collaboration is essential for translating research outcomes into tangible benefits for smallholder farmers. The ongoing Teff seed multiplication and research partnership between the two institutions is already playing a pivotal role in boosting regional agricultural productivity.   The teff seed multiplication initiative in Azerna Sise Kebele (Cheha Woreda) covers 40 hectares of land and directly benefits more than 60 local farmers. Delegates visited the university's Aturche and Fereziye Research Centers.

የወልቂጤ ግብርና ምርምር ማዕከል ዳይሬክተር አቶ ቤተል ነክር በሰጡት አስተያየት፤ አርሶ አደሮችን በኩታ ገጠም አሠራር በማደራጀት የማህበረሰብ አቀፍ ዘር ብዜት ተደራሽነትን ለማስፋፋት የሚያስችሉ ሥራዎች እየተከናወኑ መሆኑን አስረድተዋል።     Similarly, Mr. Bethel Neker, Director of the Wolkite Agricultural Research Center, explained that targeted efforts are underway to organize farmers into cluster farming systems to expand community-based seed multiplication networks.

የዩኒቨርሲቲው የምርምርና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ዶክተር ዮሐንስ ገብሩ በበኩላቸው፤ ዩኒቨርሲቲው በምርምር ዘርፍ በርካታ ተግባራትን እያከናወነ እንደሚገኝና አርሶ አደሮችን አዳዲስ ቴክኖሎጂዎች ተጠቃሚ  ለማድረግ እየሠራ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።     The Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at the university, Dr. Yohannes Gebru, stated that Wolkite University is executing numerous research activities designed to ensure local farmers benefit directly from newly developed agricultural technologies.

በመርሐ ግብሩ ላይ የወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር አብደልሙህስን ሃሰን እንደገለጹት፤ ዩኒቨርሲቲው 6 የምርምር ማዕከላት ያሉት ሲሆን፣ የተለያዩ የተሻሻሉ የዘር ዝርያዎችን የማላመድና ወደ አርሶ አደሩ ማሳ የማሸጋገር ሥራዎች በተጠናከረ ሁኔታ እየተሠሩ ይገኛሉ።   ይህም የዘርፉ ሁለገብ ትብብር ለስኬት እንደሚያበቃ በአርአያነት የሚወሰድ ተግባር በመሆኑ፣ በቀጣይም ይህ ቅንጅታዊ አሠራር ተጠናክሮ እንደሚቀጥል ፕሬዚዳንቱ ጠቁመዋል።   Speaking during the program, the President of Wolkite University, Dr. Abdelmuhsen Hassen, highlighted that the university operates six research centers actively engaged in adapting improved crop varieties and transferring these technologies directly to farmers' fields.   He noted that this multi-stakeholder collaboration serves as an exemplary model for agricultural success and affirmed that joint initiatives will continue to be strengthened in the future.

The main highlights of the guideline include:   It is revised in accordance with Higher Education Proclamation No. 1152, it aims to appoint leaders through a transparent, inclusive process. It introduces clear procedural transparency and establishes term limits for leadership positions.   Concrete affirmative measures have been explicitly incorporated into the guideline to ensure women's active and diverse participation based on merit.
