በዚህ የስልጠናመርሐ ግብርላይ ከ2,300 በላይ ተማሪዎች የሚሳተፉ ሲሆን፣ ስልጠናው ትምህርትን በዲጂታል እና በተቀናጀ መንገድ ለመስጠት መሰረት የሚጥል ይሆናል። በተጨማሪም ተማሪዎች መሰረታዊ የዲጂታል እውቀትና ክህሎታቸውን እንዲያሳድጉ ትልቅ አስተዋጽኦ ያበረክታል።   More than 2,300 students are expected to participate in this training program. Beyond introducing an integrated digital learning approach, the session plays a crucial role in enhancing students' foundational digital literacy and practical technology skills.

📌Training Conducted to Strengthen Oversight of Research Activities, Including Artificial Intelligence   📍Tuesday, October 27, 2024 | Wolkite University    📌📍 A training and awareness-creation program focused on enhancing the capacity of researchers was held at Wolkite University.   The primary objective of the program was to ensure that research proposals and findings submitted within the university are free from plagiarism and the improper use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).   Wolkite University, in collaboration with Addis Ababa University and 20 other Ethiopian universities, is currently utilizing the anti-plagiarism software "Turnitin." The software is operational, and the day's training focused on building skills for its effective application.   This oversight system enables researchers and academic staff to maintain high quality in their published works. Additionally, it helps monitor student projects during the teaching-learning process, thereby safeguarding academic integrity.

The training program was attended by key university officials, including Dr. Yohannes Gebru, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, and Dr. Getachew Mekonnen, Director of Research, Publication, Dissemination, and Ethics.

በመጨረሻም የካውንስሉ አባላት በቀረቡት ሪፖርቶች ላይ መሠረት በማድረግ ጥያቄዎችን፣ አስተያየቶችንና የማስተካከያ ሐሳቦችን ያቀረቡ ሲሆን፤ ዶ/ር አብደልሙህስን ሃሰን እና የሚመለከታቸው የሥራ ኃላፊዎች ለተነሱት ጥያቄዎች ምላሽና ማብራሪያ በመስጠት በቀጣይ ሊሻሻሉ በሚገባቸው ጉዳዮች ላይ ጥብቅ የሥራ መመሪያ አስተላልፈዋል።   Following the presentations, council members raised questions, comments, and constructive feedback on the report. Dr. Abdelmuhsen Hassan, along with the relevant university officials, addressed the inquiries and issued operational directives regarding areas that require future improvement.

በተጨማሪም በኬምስትሪ ትምህርት ክፍል የሦስተኛ ዲግሪ ፕሮግራም ለመጀመር የቅድመ-ዝግጅት ሥራዎች መከናወናቸውና፣ የመረጃ አያያዝን የሚያፋጥን ራስ-ሰር የዕቅድና ሪፖርት መተግበሪያ ሥርዓት ተግባራዊ መደረጉ ተጠቅሷል።   በሌላ በኩል፣ የፕሮጀክቶች አፈጻጸም ሪፖርት ለካውንስሉ አባላት የቀረበ ሲሆን፤ በግንባታ ላይ ከሚገኙ ፕሮጀክቶች መካከል የተማሪዎች ማደሪያ እና የአይሲቲ ማዕከል ግንባታዎች መጠናቀቃቸውንናበቅርቡ ሙሉ በሙሉ ወደ አገልግሎት እንደሚገቡ ተገልጿል።   The report further noted that, in addition to preliminary preparations underway to launch a PhD program in the Department of Chemistry, an automated planning and reporting system has been successfully implemented. Furthermore, a project performance report was submitted to the council members. Among the ongoing projects, the construction of student dormitories and ICT infrastructure has been completed, with services expected to commence shortly.

የመማር-ማስተማር ሂደት፣የምርምር፣ የፈጠራና የቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር፣ የማህበረሰብ አገልግሎትና አጋርነት፣ የተቅዋሙ ሆስፒታል የአገልግሎት አሰጣጥ፣ እና የዓለም አቀፍ ግንኙነትና አጋርነት ማስፋፋት ሥራዎች ይጠቀሳሉ።   በሪፖርቱ እንደተመላከተው፤ ተማሪዎችን በፈጠራ ሥራዎች ማሳተፍ፣ የተግባር ተኮር ትምህርትን ለማጠናከር የሥርዓተ-ትምህርት ክለሳ ማካሄድ እና ዩኒቨርሲቲው የአፍሪካ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ማህበርአባል እንዲሆን የተጀመሩ እንቅስቃሴዎች መሠረታዊ መዋቅራዊ ለውጥ የሚያመጡ አሰራሮች መሆናቸው  ተገልጿል።   Accordingly, the presented performance report featured major quarterly achievements, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), teaching-learning activities, research, innovation and technology transfer, community service and engagement, hospital service delivery, and the expansion of international partnerships. It was highlighted that encouraging student involvement in innovation, revising curricula to promote practical education, and initiating the process for Wolkite University to join the Association of African Universities are being carried out through fundamentally transformative approaches.

📌Wolkite University Commences Life Skills Training for Newly Admitted Students   📢 Thursday, October 22, 2026 | Wolkite University    📌📍   Wolkite University has officially begun providing comprehensive life skills training to newly admitted students for the 2026/27 Academic Calendar. The training program is designed to help students adapt quickly to campus life, build healthy interpersonal relationships, excel academically, make informed life choices, and contribute positively to their communities and country.   According to Instructor Fantaye Chemir, Director of the Education Quality Enhancement Directorate, the core focus areas of the training program include:    Self-Awareness and Emotional Intelligence, Campus Safety and Security, Psychosocial Well-being and Healthy Technology Use, Academic Success in University Life, Time Management and Overcoming Challenges, Professional Goal Setting and Financial Literacy, Civic Responsibility and Community Engagement.
