📢 AMR Awareness Week 2026 – Day 1 Today, EPSA Haramaya starts our journey toward AMR Awareness Week. 🦠 What is AMR? EPSA Haramaya Branch Serving the Profession, Protecting the Future. #AMRAwarenessWeek2026 #EPSAHaramaya #FightAMR #OneHealth

Important Points to Remember: ✅ AMR occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites no longer respond to medicines ✅ Misuse of antibiotics in humans, animals, and agriculture is a major cause ✅ Without action, common infections will become untreatable ✅ Simple steps: complete your full course of antibiotics, never share antibiotics, only use when prescribed ✅ Hand washing and infection prevention reduce the need for antibiotics ✅ Pharmacists are key in educating patients and promoting responsible use We invite all students, healthcare professionals, and community members to join us as we explore these important topics and participate in the upcoming activities. 📅 June 9–14: Social media campaigns, hospital-based awareness, and community outreach activities 🎉 June 15: AMR Awareness Celebration Why This Matters: AMR is one of the biggest health threats of our time.
