BPSCVEERS BIHAR PIB ONELINERS.pdf

Dear Sonamji, A fast works only when the person watching you suffer is capable of feeling shame. Many years ago when Gandhiji fought a foreign empire the British were cruel and repressive, but they also worried about the political cost of being shamed before the world. Today we have a government that appears to have trained itself not to feel shame. And why should it feel shame? It knows that much of the media and braindead zombies of this country will protect it. Today, the government controls the narrative through channels owned by Ambani and Adani, through fake ED raids, through fake IT raids. We can already see the repercussions of the high-handedness on our economy. Adani's wealth has exploded by over 1,200% in just 10 years. Ambani's wealth has surged over 400% in the same decade. In those same 10 years... The Rupee has lost more than 50% of its value. Petrol prices have jumped nearly 58% even after blending with 20% of ethanol destroying our cars. The household debt in India was 70 Lakh crores in 2019 - it is now almost 140 Lakh crore. That is fine, but the interesting question is - why are they borrowing? Are they taking debts to start a business? No. They are borrowing to survive. To eat. To pay for medical expenses. The same people borrowing money - they are mocking you, because the majority has turned into a generation of braindead zombies. Today, India is ranked 157th out of 180 countries in the Press Freedom - it is a shame to see our diplomats defend why the PM of World's Largest Democracy is not capable to take a single press conference. Sonamji, please understand what many of us are saying. Your life is too precious to be offered to a government that may not care whether you survive. You have already exposed it. You have shown how propaganda can turn citizens into people who no longer feel the pain of other citizens. You have shown how much of the media can ignore a serious protest. Sensible Indians have understood your message. Those whose minds have been completely captured by propaganda may not understand even if you die. So please stop the fast. Tactical retreat is not defeat. The India created by the freedom movement was meant to be a republic in which the government feared the people - not one in which the people feared the government. It was meant to be an India where questions were patriotic. Where disagreement was not treason, India where the press questioned power, India where leaders accepted responsibility. Where the life of every farmer, student, worker and newborn child mattered. That idea of India is under attack. And that is exactly why India needs you alive. Please do not give this government another death to ignore and another tragedy to bury beneath propaganda. The idea of India still needs people like you to defend it.
