This paper just redefined the prelims bar. The bar is so high that it appears really absurd now. Was it UPSC trying to reduce ambiguity (read : litigation) by giving factual questions or was it blind use of AI Or was it rediscovering Ancient past - as seen in Vedaphilic questions- nobody knows. Not only this paper required top tier pyq and CA knowledge to eliminate 1 or 2 options- it almost always came to test a person's risk taking ability in the end. Consequently, many people must have attempted on lower side. Questions like corps etc one were unsolvable - unless made specifically to give edge to ex servicemen. Just imagine if UPSC had kept question statements as it is and changed options to 2023-esque Only one, Only two. Pure Trahimam.

• Paper is too factual - way more than usual. • Even CA is too heavy. • PYQs can be seen - the water wheel one. Strait of Hormuz expected. • Requires top notch skills and knowledge. • UPSC just wants less and less litigations by reducing ambiguity since it has to release provisional key from this year onwards.

Dont' discuss paper. Don't google. Relax for sometime. Have a meal and then start basic revision for csat. Else just rest.

Syllabus kabhi kisi ka poora ni hota - cause how do you revise everything in one day. Just prioritise - Polity k important topics dekh lo, Geo aur history ncert k maps dekh lo. For geo ncert - do a blitz revision - bas aankhon se nikal lo. Don't start doing active recall at this moment. Its time to glaze through. If you have some one pagers made, then go through them. If you have studied it before, its there in subconscious and you will be able to recall it. Also, just revise your strategy you have developed till now. Less is more now. Sneak peek into Map Playground. #MapPlayground

Some minor updates : 1. We are building our android app. We ran into some bugs for folding phones - but most of the work was done. We hope it would be released post prelims. 2. We are also building a Mapping Playground - where users can solve questions on ramsar sites/ national parks / passes / rivers etc on a 3d enriched map- either in quizzing mode or a spaced repetition enabled learner mode. Spaced repetition will be based on supermemo algorithm. 3. We feel entire UPSC preparation space lacks resources for PWD candidates. We are committed to integrate these candidates - who have been left out from UPSC discourse. Going forward we will design and implement accessibility features in website/app accordingly.

The returning planes had no bullet holes in the engines or cockpit because the planes hit there crashed and didn't make it back. The visible holes simply showed where a plane could take damage and still fly home. By recognizing this survivorship bias, the military armored the untouched areas instead—the engines and cockpit—saving countless lives. Why this is useful ? Applying this, we get a very counterintuitive insight. When a very difficult prelims paper comes - like 2023 - a major chunk of serious mains players also tend to get eliminated. Ofcourse some will survive, but such a paper helps UPSC refresh the candidate pool with fresh blood. This is also aided by the fact that after 2023 - people have developed a prelims paglu tendency. Consequently, the surviving pool is heavily diluted with prelims specialists and trickpaglus who survived the flak - thus, opening a window of opportunity for veterans/mains ready folks in mains. This advantage is critical for getting selected - as mains is the kingmaker. In essence, a difficult prelims reduces the competition at later stages - most importantly mains. Doing easy questions wrong carries a higher penalty - as it hurts you more - since everyone else is doing these right. All you have to do is ensure that you don't do static wrong in prelims. If its hard, its hard for everyone. Infact, a harder paper might boost your chances to land in holy pdf if you are mains ready. So don't let paper difficulty stump you. #happyStudying 2/2

Many people reached out to me - with valid concerns of privacy over email/phone number vis a vis this bot. To clarify, the bot in itself is just an interface - like Android/ios apps / website - that are just frontends - operating with help of a server + DB backend. Bot operates on the code - that we wrote - running on a server. Also, since we own the google form shared( same shared by Atish sir) - we have access to data beforehand. The bot just validates that you actually filled the google form and reduces manual headache of handling DMs on telegram asking to be added to such and such group. Tech illiterate people are spreading myths - when they themselves are selling lousy pdf courses. PS : The bot is just an optimisation. Maybe the big channels should also start doing the same - rather than manual verification of admit cards etc. Would be happy to help !! Thank you !!
