We have fixed the dimension mapping - so only relevant dimensions are shown within the questions and themes.
1. You can select from any of the options - PYQs or Microtheme on top bar.
Alternatively, you can also select microthemes from the side bar - they would appear as dropdowns in the sidebar within the main UPSC CSE syllabus section they belong to.
2. Within each theme/PYQ - you can see
• The combined dimensions - this shows the combined dimensions toppers in all their copies opened for a particular topic.
• Let's say theme is Basic structure doctrine. Topper A wrote - BSD features, Challenges, Wayforward. Topper B wrote - BSD highlights, Some unique content, Challenges , Way forward. So in the overview of BSD - you will get to see at one place :
— BSD Features
— BSD highlights
— Some Unique content (Topper B)
— Challenges (Topper A)
— Challenges (Topper B)
— Way Forward(Topper A + Topper B)
See the second image - captures all this beautifully.
It just aggregates content across all topper copies in one place - already OCR'ed for you. You can also see the topper copies from which the content came - just click on the "VIEW PAGE" button.
3. There was a bug earlier that showed all dimensions but pulled unrelated ones too. Now its much more streamlined and shows only relevant dimensions from selected topics.
Note :
Public Beta live now on :
https://upscanalytics.opuslabs.in/mains-playground/
Note : Since it is in beta phase, there might be few things here and there. Dimension and OCR injection is still happening dynamically. In any case , please keep the feedback coming on @upsc_analytics_helpline_bot.

Day 4
Q. Caste system is assuming new identities and associational forms. Hence, caste system cannot be eradicated in India. Comment.
Context : the Indian government decided to include caste enumeration in the upcoming Census. State surveys reveal deep underrepresentation of OBCs, SCs, STs in education and governance institutions.

Q. Describe any four cultural elements of diversity in India and rate their relative significance in building a national identity.
Context : The conflation of ethnic, territorial, and political identity in nation-state models creates systematic exclusion of citizens who don't fit dominant identity categories, threatening constitutional right. See news item : Hyphenated nationality and paradox of ..
Q. Account for the huge flooding of million cities in India including the major ones like Bengaluru. Suggest lasting remedial measures.
Context : Hydrological hysteresis explains why Indian cities remain waterlogged long after rains stop — landscapes retain a memory of past rainfall in saturated soils, wetlands, and aquifers, making flood behaviour non-linear and asymmetric..
News item : How the landscape memmories ...
q. Distinguish between gender equality, gender equity and women’s empowerment. Why is it important to take gender concerns into account in programme design and implementation?

We will give personalied strategies to help you overcome your blocks - be it related to speed, brainstorming, answer writing
About me : I worked for quite sometime in software industry locally, then in China and Americas. Post covid, my outlook on life changed a bit and I quit my job at end of 2022 and relocated to India in Jan 23. In my first attempt in 2023, I managed to reach interview with psir optional - missing the UR cutoff by less than 17 marks that year. Next year too, unfortunately, i missed the final UR cutoff by 20ish marks - this time GS rose from 400 to 420s, but optional tanked somehow. After that, i gave state pcs looking for a break and cracked pre of UP/ Bihar/ UK in first attempts. The subsequent process is ongoing - with results awaited across many. In my free time, i built a quant trading engine - which I had to pause due to the Iran war - during i built this entire platform - starting from March this year. I know i arrived late in this journey - but i feel i made the right call - having spent decent amount of time travelling the world, making myself financially secure first, exploring new cultures and cuisines alike, and working in truly multicultural teams.
About Panel Mentor : VG has been selected in 2023 and 2025. In 2023, they had one of the highest written score in Mains with 820+. Interview played a spoil sport for them that year. They are currently ongoing training in Audit and Account service - which is undoubetdly one of the hidden gems for those looking for a chill life with power. VG cracked the exam both times - working full time - without taking a single day off.
We feel we are qualified enough to give you advice across the board - for GS and Essay. Our evaluator panel is also atleast one interview appeared. Yes we know we don't have the testimonial wall yet, but we have the skills and acumen - to help you see through the faultlines that delay your mains. We feel with the right set of tools and guidance, you too can cross the rubicon of mains. We will not give you conventional one size fits all advice - often blurted out in topper talk talking points. We have one goal and one goal only - to help you maximise your mains score.
Though i would be the one conducting the programme, our panel mentor would also take free sessions as per their availability.
Price starts from 10,999 for 10 sessions.

Q 5. Contemporary phenomena such as the 'DINK' (Double Income, No Kids) lifestyle and the radical '4B' movement indicate a fundamental shift in the institution of marriage. Examine how these trends reflect the changing socio-economic roles of women and their response to traditional patriarchal expectations.
Can attempt this as its relevant in contemporary context

Its advisable not to study topics in silos - topics can always be cross cutting. One theme can be used to frame questions across subjects.
For example :
Great nicobar project - can be asked in GS1/2/3
Sample questions :
GS1 :
• Discuss the geopolitical and economic significance of straits and isthmuses as chokepoints in global maritime trade. In this context, evaluate how the strategic location of the Great Nicobar Project capitalizes on these geographical features.
• Examine the advantages of shipping over other mediums of transportation in facilitating global trade. How does the proposed Great Nicobar transshipment terminal aim to leverage these advantages for India's economic growth?
Gs2 :
• In an era of shifting geopolitical dynamics in the Indo-Pacific, securing critical maritime supply chains is paramount for India. Analyze the role of the Great Nicobar Project in enhancing India's strategic footprint and countering emerging maritime security threats in the region.
GS3 :
• Mega-infrastructure projects in ecologically sensitive zones often trigger the classic 'development versus conservation' debate. Critically analyze the potential ecological impact of the Great Nicobar Project on the region's unique biodiversity and indigenous populations, suggesting measures for sustainable execution.
Another megatheme can be AI - its impact on society, tech and even its usage in alleviating issues related to poverty and hunger ( GS2) . Its impact on GS3 employment can also be asked.

We think most coachings don't put evaluated copies of toppers because their evaluation is of poor quality.
This is despite charging 10-15k for this in name of test series.
Same goes for AI evaluation also.
In contrast, we have openly put samples for our evaluated copies above. The quality difference is clearly visible. No more generic - Good opening, fair point etc.
Concise, to the point - honest feedback.
You can check out the Mains Evaluation program at : https://upscanalytics.opuslabs.in/mains-evaluation
Our detailed mains Philosophy :
• What matters in Mains is what you write on paper. You can read all the value additions, attend all live answer writing sessions, have all the mentorships you want — but if you cannot replicate your content on paper, it's useless.
Through this initiative, we orient your Mains preparation in right direction, help you see your blind spots, and provide critical inputs to maximise your chance for a great Mains score.
Features of program :
• Only evaluator meeting the threshold in that subject will evaluate your answers on given subject.
• Live evaluation available on submission. If you are submitting answers for your weaker topic, you can avail live 1:1 evaluation OR as the case may be.
• Direct integration with google calendar API is there - so you see real time availability. No rescheduling hassle.
• Unlike FLTs - you can submit answers at your own pace - as per your own syllabus completion strategy.
• You can grade evaluators - and to maintain quality - evaluators with consistent poor reviews will be deplatformed.
• 3 day turn around time
• No marketing gimick - Simplicity is the ulitmate sophistication for mains.
• No AI slop in answer evaluation - till the time UPSC doesn't adopt AI grading, we feel AI-based evaluation is nothing more than a marketing gimmick.

With some technical hacks for OCR we have been able to achieve almost flawless reads.
Not only we are able to extract the dimensions - we map them to releant topics.
For example - you can see way froward for Basic structure doctrine for all toppers in one place. No need to scour pdfs over pdfs.
2. In individual topper copies, entire content is Pre OCRed for you. You can just click on dimensions headers ( colored tags here in the second image) and read them directly.
Beta is live now on :
