BLA Claims Killing of 7 Operatives, Arrest of MI Official in Coordinated Operations Across Balochistan
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated operations in Kharan, Kalat, Nushki, Quetta, and Shahrag, during which it said seven operatives linked to state intelligence networks and pro-government "death squads" were killed, and a Military Intelligence (MI) official was arrested.
According to a statement released by the group, a hideout belonging to a death squad operative was destroyed in the Barshonki area of Kharan. Separately, a suspected operative identified as Sameer was detained, reportedly confessing during interrogation to involvement in the killing of a BLA fighter.
In Kalat, BLA fighters claimed to have arrested an active‑duty soldier, identified as Tahir from Multan, who they allege is assigned to Military Intelligence and was operating undercover in the area. In Nushki, two alleged state operatives — Shoaib and Babu Gulistan Mengal — were reported killed.
The BLA also said it killed an MI operative in Ahmed Wal, Nushki, described as moving disguised in women's clothing. In Quetta, a facilitator for the Counter‑Terrorism Department (CTD), Feroz Marri, was reportedly killed in May. In Shahrag, an alleged asset named Taj Muhammad was arrested last month, sentenced to death by a self‑declared "Baloch National Court," and executed.
The BLA reiterated its position that collaboration with state intelligence or pro‑government militias constitutes treason against the Baloch national movement.
