Episode 4 is finally here! 🎙️🔥 I sat down with Birhan Nega, a software developer with over 10 years of experience, entrepreneur, company founder and content creator. We talked about his journey in tech, building a company in Ethiopia, working with international teams, discipline, remote opportunities, AI and what genuinely separates an experienced engineer from someone who only knows how to write code. What if you could play a Begena without actually touching one? I built a small web app that lets you play Begena using only the camera on your phone or computer. The idea came to me after seeing people use cameras to create musical sounds with hand movements. I wanted to try making something similar with one of EOTC's instruments. So I gave it a shot. The app tracks the hand and detect finger movements. Each finger is mapped to a different Begena string, so by bending your fingers in front of the camera, just like you normally do, you can play the instrument in real time. It uses MediaPipe for hand tracking, JavaScript for finger detection and Web Audio API to play the sounds. (I recorded each sound from my Begena) Has 4 ቅኝትs (ሰላምታ ስለቸርነትህ ዋኔን አምባሰል) all in D major for now. I’ve attached a demo video. Try it: [BEGENA CAM] Built with some AI assistance😁 Apparently, I could. Would you actually try playing a Begena this way?

I remember that I said, " Oh, it's weekend" like a few minutes before but now we're on Monday. The time is going so fast that we couldn't even realize it. Idk if it's because we've so many different doors to open and don't notice it. But anyway let's try to make each day count atleast not to end up regretting not using it. Anyway, have a productive week ahead 🤍 @the_dual_journey

My friends and I have been thinking about a startup idea, but before diving into it blindly, we need to do some research and collect real feedback. And here I am asking for a little help from my people. Our target group is beauty professionals: hairstylists, makeup artists, nail technicians, henna artists, salon owners, trainers, etc. So if you know anyone in this space, please share this form with them and help me get it in front of the right people. If you know someone who works in a beauty salon or training center, I’d especially appreciate it if you could forward it to them. Also, if you’re part of the target group yourself, please fill it out! Just share it for me and help me reach the right people. 🤝 For any Questions DM me at : Jennah Form: Link

Someday it's boring to keep it up adel. Repeating the same thing every day. Like no one is watching, and you don't see any rewards. You might even wonder if you're progressing. Your mind asks what the point of doing it is. And somehow it's painful. degmo the fact that this feeling comes when it's at its peak. Not motivation, but staying still in it is the only solution. Repeating it again & again. I guess this is what we should train ourselves, enduring the pain. [LINK] @the_dual_journey
