The biggest gains often come when people are underestimating something and no one is paying attention. If you always move with the crowd, you’ll usually end up with the same returns as the crowd. Think carefully about what kind of decisions actually maximize your upside, and more importantly, how likely those decisions are to work out.

People keep overlooking the infrastructure being built on Base, but at the end of the day, it’s one of the few chains that can really leverage a major exchange ecosystem. And if Base ever gets its own meta, they’ve got people like the CEO, Jesse, and Cobie who can actively push and amplify it. We should be actively building connections with the people who can actually leverage that and stay ready for the opportunities when they come.

I withdrew $600K. Like I always say, making money is important, but protecting what you’ve already made is even more important. Even in a bull market, make sure you’re protecting your profits and taking money off the table along the way. Trade safe and don’t forget to withdraw.

With a lot of capital flowing into Hood chain, liquidity seems to be spreading across the entire ecosystem, not just LongXYZ or PONS. What stands out to me is o1. It feels like they’re consistently putting their own capital behind the platform and trying to build up one clear leader at a time. Personally, I think o1 is worth keeping an eye on.

It’s been two weeks now. Looking back, I’ll probably make more mistakes along the way. Trading is always a cycle of mistakes and successes. The important thing is not to miss the opportunity when it comes. My original goal was $1M, but now I want to keep pushing and see how far I can go. I also plan to withdraw some profits along the way. I hope everyone makes money, but more importantly, I hope you trade in a way that protects what you’ve already earned.

Personally, this trade still leaves me with a bit of disappointment, but rather than regretting it, I feel like I’d probably make a similar decision again if I could go back. Even with PONS rising sharply, Microduck wasn’t really able to keep up. In my view, the biggest upside catalyst was always a tweet from NVIDIA or Jensen Huang, and I thought the probability of that happening was relatively low. But I was wrong. I also expected there to be some delay in the acquisition process, but things moved much faster than I anticipated. Congrats to everyone who held.

And going forward, I don’t plan to share this kind of internal information anymore. I was never sharing it to hurt the market or cause any damage. I simply thought that if I knew something factual, I should share it with others too.

I think it should be pretty obvious why they’re not shilling Baseline or taking any further stance on it.

And to explain the situation around Baseline’s unconfirmed allocation in a bit more detail: At the time, I was in direct contact with the team. They told me themselves that there was an unvested allocation, and I simply passed that information on to the community. But back then, a lot of people accused me of spreading false information. I’ll show you the actual conversation I had with the team. And if you look at their recent tweets, you can see what I was talking about. The reason I didn’t properly reveal the source at the time was because I thought the team would address it themselves, and I didn’t want to unnecessarily leak a private DM conversation. Now you can see what I meant, right?

Binance has been shortening the gap between Alpha listings, and they’ve also listed two futures recently. At this point, the only thing left is spot. And if we don’t get a spot listing, I think there’s a pretty good chance they’ll at least drop some hints or alpha — for example, something like an RWA + meme category, or something along those lines.
