Upon the twelfth of September, the calendar yields a little to celebration, and the day assumes its own rosary of colour, sentiment, and festal ornament. The twenty-second year is ushered into its keeping, #Deva22InBloom becoming the little florilegium of this observance, and Deva Cassel’s birthday is received not with grandiloquence, but with the softer pageantry of gathered affection: a portrait lent to the occasion, a greeting set among the flowers, a passing presence made part of the observance. Each small offering enters the day like a votive flourish, until September itself seems to keep a little liturgy in bloom.
For any delicate difficulty in adorning a portrait, @devacassellbot shall gladly lend a hand with the fitting. And with due fondness, a little encomium to @trinketslab, whose artistry has so prettily composed the adornment for this occasion. Thus the twelfth is given its due: with roseate merriment, gracious company, and the quiet ceremony of affection reserved for a birthday held especially dear.
