Freedom Global has lowered its target price for Motorcar Parts of America Inc. Kanagat Yertai, analyst at Freedom Global Motorcar Parts of America Inc. (MPAA) results for the first quarter of fiscal 2027 came in significantly below expectations: revenue totaled $168 million, adjusted EBITDA was about $13.5 million, and adjusted EPS was -$0.34, below our forecasts. The main reasons were the timing of customer orders, the clearance sale of inventory by a bankrupt competitor, disruptions due to the relocation of the heavy-duty business, and currency pressure. Despite this, management reaffirmed its fiscal 2027 guidance of $780-800 million in revenue and $95-100 million in EBITDA, which implies a noticeable acceleration in the second half of 2027 as the new business ramps up.
