We recount our history because it is part of the history of the righteous party, which is not harmed by those who forsake it or oppose it. We recount our history so that our children may witness God's victory and His granting of success to the weak, the migrants, and the tribal conflicts. Thus, Badr, Uhud, and the Trench are renewed, precursors to victory at every turn. This is the book of Khubaib al-Sudani that you hold in your hands; it is a thread of light in the history of this nation, in a time of affliction and patience and scorching heat.
