Freedom 250 National Finale & Closing Ceremony 📚 Are you an educator, artist, or English language enthusiast? The U.S. Exchange Alumni Association of Ethiopia, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, invites you to join us on August 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM. For the past month, 10 exceptional high schoolers from different cities across Ethiopia embarked on a transformative journey. They dedicated their time to thinking, learning, and collaborating on critical themes: freedom, innovation, American business and the enduring strength of U.S.–Ethiopia relations. Inspired by Freedom 250 and the foundational values of American independence and heritage, these young leaders have spent weeks diving deep into what cross-border collaboration truly means. Now, the time has come for them to step up and share their bold ideas, personal reflections, and creative projects with a wider audience with total confidence. 🗓️ Mark your calendars: They will be performing and showcasing their work live on August 11! Dear friends, Greetings from American Spaces Hawassa located at Hawassa University College of Agriculture, the white building facing Lewi Hotel Piasa branch. We are holding an exciting virtual session promoted at the post above. Another exciting point is, our space is a wonderful place for reading, has free wifi and we have limited laptop computers for use in the space only for students who took training at our space and adults who have reasonable experience in using computers for academic use only. While you may come and read some books at our corner for free, we need your National ID card (Fayda) or school ID to borrow laptops as we need to take good care for our equipment. Students who took training at our space may bring their ID cards but not must as they have taken basic training to use computers plus we have information regarding their schools … Please visit us during office hours, join our telegram group (https://t.me/HawassaAmericanSpace) and attend our upcoming sessions. As the Space may at times get busy with events, don't forget to check our telegram channel before you come or just get prepared to use your time at alternative places in case the place is busy with scheduled events. You may also like to volunteer at our space and if you may do that please contact us regarding your expertise and what training you can give to your juniors / the community at large. Areas are not very specific, English language, computer / programing, life skills, entrepreneurships, health … just whatever that can be of service to our community and can be done in professional / structured way can be done. Thank you for joining hands with American Space Hawassa and have a great day! The Coordinators,
