I’m longing to see you, don’t you know?

I miss seeing you. I miss your face, your features, and that moment when my eyes get to see you, even if it’s only through a picture. You don’t know how happy it makes me to see you, or how much this longing inside me eases whenever I get to look at you. All I want is to see your face and know that you’re okay, because I miss you more than I can put into words. Sometimes the longing becomes too strong, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a tightness in my chest. I just wish I could see you and feel a little closer to you. Even one picture of you would make me happy, comfort my heart, and ease this ache of missing you.
