I'm super excited to be joining the ladies of Return to the Land for their Return to Femininity podcast this Friday! This will be my first podcast appearance in over 3 years! ⚡️

A lot can be said about the way music has been harnessed and weaponized to change the course of history. This is something I'd like to make a detailed post about in the near future.

The way in which we weave stories into our songs reflects the essence of our ancestral spirit.

I commented on the post above and would like to share some thoughts on that here. "What makes music White?" is a complex question to articulate a short answer for. I feel like art in general is an expression of the time it was created in. There is also an expression of the soul of the individual and the unique perspective of that person, as well as the ancestral folk soul of the people that individual belongs to. Music has played a big role in the living tradition of a people through orating the stories over generations. The songs evolved with the people. I think there will always be the imprint of blood and ancestral memory in the art we create. White people have a talent for creating beautiful melodies, and complex patterns in music that start and end in a way that feels whole or complete. Rap is definitely more primitive in its structure and while that could largely be due to lower IQ, I think it's deeper than that. It's also a reflection of their ancestral journey and spiritual development as a people just as ours is for us.

What makes music White? Most people know what genres appeal to Whites and what genres don’t, but it’s one of those things you feel, yet can’t explain. At least as someone who has never studied music I can’t put it into words. Of course, a leftist would argue that it’s just culture and Blacks would absolutely love Beethoven if they grew up listening to his works instead of rap, but we know that there are inherent differences between people and musical taste is one of them. Ultimately the question is still open for me. If you are a musician or just think you have a good answer leave it in the comments.

Goth Sub Culture: Having been / still am a bit of an old school Goth and metal head and also married to an old school Goth, the movement was never left wing oriented by default like punk was. While both are semi non conformity- conformists to a degree, Goth has always had - A love of older European (or your respective group) heritage - spirituality focus (Christian or Pagan) - poetic philosophy - Esoteric appreciation of the occult - a semi acceptance of eternal yet impermanence of all things. - Enjoy the destruction / ashes and ruin but not promote more destruction per se (depending on the group). -Seeing the beauty in death and life. - understanding life is pain, but also joy. New life will be born from the struggle and pain. Plenty of the Goth music creators back in the day, or even the Black metal (which does intersect), became rather centrist or even very right wing (some starting NS style bands or projects) over time. The overarching neo marxist conformity and anti heritage that permeates any movement today wouldn't have been welcomed. Yes there is negatives to it. -Too much focus on depression darkness that some don't understand. -Too lose sexually in some cases (leading to some fetishist that weren't a part of the movement or a lot of cross dressing (visual Kei example) - semi Satanic concepts here and there or fake surface Christianity (for better or worse) - many Materialism / Posers etc. - misunderstood messaging even by so called members. Much of Goth is a movement that was rather rooted into European expressions and culture. Even though it expanded to include or spread to other regions via us. It is resurfacing a bit more lately.
