Between 2020 and 2024 the group received rockets and drone technology from the IRGC. So far, the Algerian state likely seeking to avoid direct confrontation with Western powers has not allowed Polisario to conduct hostile actions against NATO members. However the polisario already forced by the United States to accept the Moroccan autonomy plan could chose to defy Algerian orders and create a crisis for legitimacy.
