⏰ 10 minutes until tonight’s NESU quiz! 10 questions on science & engineering — first one drops at 20:00. Turn on notifications so you don’t miss it! 🔔
🏛️ Did you know? — Structural Engineering
🔹 Structural and architectural engineers make buildings stand — sizing every beam, column and foundation against gravity, wind and, in this region, earthquakes. One of the field’s most elegant ideas is also one of its oldest: the triangle.
🔹 A triangle can’t change shape without changing the length of one of its sides, so its joints carry no bending force at all — unlike a square, which simply folds into a parallelogram under the same push.
💡 That single geometric fact is why trusses, cranes and transmission towers are built almost entirely out of triangles: it’s the strongest shape you can make from the least material.Did you know this already? React with 🔥 if yes — or 🤯 if this is brand new to you! #NESU #Engineering #StructuralEngineering @nesuuz
🤖 Did you know? — Robotics
🔹 Robotics and mechatronics combine mechanics, electronics and control software into machines that can sense their surroundings and act on their own. Every robot, no matter how advanced, runs the same basic control loop thousands of times per second: sense the world, plan a response, then act.
🔹 Acting on stale information — skipping straight to ‘act’ without first sensing — is how robots crash or collide.
💡 That sense-plan-act loop is the shared skeleton behind a factory arm welding car frames, a warehouse rover picking orders, and a self-driving car reading the road ahead of it.Did you know this already? React with 🔥 if yes — or 🤯 if this is brand new to you! #NESU #Engineering #Robotics @nesuuz

🌊 Did you know? — Environmental Engineering
🔹 Environmental engineers protect water, air and soil — treatment plants, emissions control, contamination cleanup. In Central Asia the discipline is inseparable from one resource above all: water.
🔹 Irrigation efficiency and the ongoing effort to stabilize the shrinking Aral Sea basin are central to the region’s environmental engineering work.
💡 Even something as basic as a sand filter reflects careful design: water flows downward through layers ordered fine-to-coarse, so the finest sand sits on top and traps particles right at the surface where the filter can be cleaned, while coarser layers below carry the water away without clogging.Did you know this already? 🚀 We're about to get started, and we're waiting for you!
Join us as we kick off **NESU's first official event**—the beginning of something much bigger. We're excited to have you with us for this special milestone.
See you soon! 💙

✈️ Did you know? — Aerospace Engineering
🔹 Aerospace engineers design aircraft and spacecraft, where every gram and every joint is calculated down to the decimal. The discipline’s signature shape is the airfoil — a wing cross-section that turns moving air into lift.
🔹 Lift grows as the wing’s angle of attack increases, right up until a critical point, usually around 15°, where the airflow can no longer follow the wing’s upper surface. It separates, lift collapses, and the wing stalls.
💡 That narrow margin between useful lift and stall drives almost every decision in aircraft design — wing shape, flight envelopes, and the approach speed of every landing you’ve ever been on.Did you know this already? 🧪 Did you know? — Chemical Engineering
🔹 Chemical engineers scale reactions from a lab beaker up to full industrial plants — fuels, fertilizers, polymers, pharmaceuticals all pass through their hands before reaching anyone else. The discipline runs on two things above all: thermodynamics and process safety.
🔹 Even the simplest reaction has to balance exactly — burn methane (CH₄) and you need precisely two O₂ molecules to produce one CO₂ and two H₂O, atom for atom.
💡 Multiply that bookkeeping by a plant producing thousands of tonnes a day, running at high pressure and temperature, and you understand why chemical engineers spend as much time on safety margins as they do on yield.Did you know this already? 🏁 That’s all 10 questions! Comment below and tell us how many you got right 👇
🧠 Environmental Engineering: In a sand filter, water flows downward. Which layer order (top to bottom) cleans best?
🧠 Electrical Engineering: Uzbekistan’s grid modernization is focused on integrating more of what?
🧠 Aerospace Engineering: Lift grows with a wing’s angle of attack — until it suddenly stops flying. Around what angle does a typical wing stall?
