Finally some color! Its lovely to see how much more lively he looks now. I also made his freaky peener and I adore it. I think I might be a monsterfucker

Tail attention!! Fluffed it up, put some spine bones in there too, and I also started testing out the markings on his skull, throwing shit around and seeing what sticks. I need him to sit on me so bad.

And now I added some fur to my sweet boy, its really impressive seeing how it adds some sillhouete and personality. I also just want to ruffle his hair before he takes a fucking bite out of my neck. I also made his balls hang some more. Good decision.

I REALLY liked the back spines, super fun to work them in. Added the ribs in, and I also started working on where to place his nipples, which was quite a design choice! The thing about making a character for me is that I just needed to listen to my dick and see what the hottest placement was. Pretty convenient if I say so myself, hehehe.

More testing shapes for the face and the body! This is the first bear I sculpt, so there's a lot of trial and error involved

More muscle definition, more tendons and details. Its fun to work on monsters since I can take some anatomical details to further extremes without having to blur them out afterwards

Started separating some parts into their own subtools, mostly the nails, also gave him a nice soft sheath with a pair of balls. At this point I was still slightly unsure of the kind of tail I wanted to give him, I even tried a skunk tail! It felt nice but it disbalanced Urgul a bit

Fatter. Wider. Honey eater. Cake.

More muscle definition, I did find it a very fun exercise to think about monster anatomy and how to adapt the anatomy I know to something like Urgul. I wanna rub his tum.

Slowly trying to work towards more wider, stronger shapes. Lowered the crotch, shorter leggies to make him stouter and widened the snout. (A bit too wide in retrospective!) Eyes are also a bit smaller, adding to the general big feeling of the head

Slowly but surely... Marking some more of the muscles and just letting myself work more on the shape I want. I really like the skull and horns, very imposing. By now I think I had gotten a good grasp of the kind of personality I wanted for Urgul. Sort of this forest creature that hungers constantly and is very territorial towards strangers. I like to imagine he'd hunt for campers and eat all of their stuff along with em... Thinking manmade stuff makes him angry, and also gives him tummy aches and bloats. Mostly a friend to creatures of the night like him, at least as long as he's slightly sated, otherwise anything's game.

Worked the face shapes a bit, finding some planes and also made eyes. I really like making the eyes early in the model since they really help set the mood for the character as I work along. Also belly!

So... December was a bit of a rough month for me, and I slowly approached a personal project I've been putting off for a while, I've always wanted a more demony, wendigoey character to scratch some itches I have. Thanks to a sweet bud (@theslateguardian), we were able to finish concepting a basic idea for his look, so now I started out modelling Urgul. I guess he counts a sort of vent art, or vent character. I really want to put myself in danger and cuddle him a lot.

This is a bit of initial blockout and testing proportions for a very beary bear VRChat model. I'll be posting some older wips and working towards the current state in these coming days!
