What does it mean to have a life? And what does it mean to have two? On Severance, a TV series where there's a company that can create a work environment where during the day you'll have a different character, and when work is done you'll get back the normal version of yourself, there's this scene in season 2 episode 10 where the main character Mark meets his innie (inner self). The outie (the outer self) is asking him to do something important for him that might cause himself and all the innies to vanish, and they argue over it. The innies have relationships and connections, a life that they don't want to lose. The communication is happening through video recordings, and through their words you can see that there's an understanding that they are the same person but also different at the same time. I love how it brings the whole theme of the series together. Can’t wait for season 3.

My answer: A Although it's hard to claim and prove that mathematical truths and other scientific claims exist beyond human experience, I think they are true regardless of human minds. At the same time, I still acknowledge how difficult it is to fully understand what it means for something to be true without a mind, and how we can be certain about that. When it comes to ethics, we tend to see it differently from other sciences. There’s no clear “should” that can tell us how things ought to be. But there are facts about human experience and what we want despite what we think we know or claim to want and given that, there’s a way to navigate it effectively, and we ought to do that. And yes, it’s subjective. as is math, physics, etc.

😴 I’ve been tracking my sleep for the past 17 days Last year, I tried doing this with a Telegram bot, but it required manually logging sleep and wake times every day which seemed unnecessary. This time I use the Telegram API to automatically track my online/offline status, store timestamps, and calculate sleep patterns from that data. It’s accurate, since Telegram is almost always the first app I open in the morning and the last one I close at night. I might turn this into a public site where you can share an account’s status and have your sleep patterns tracked automatically (similar to how I’m currently doing it with two accounts). Securely ofcourse I didn't take any inspiration for the UI btw
