*HEDGEHOG INTERVIEW GUIDE*
Tell us about your favorite career experience so far.”
Your response needs to be between 30–60 seconds, so you need to know what you want to say before you start recording.
2️⃣ PREPARE BEFORE CLICKING “GET STARTED”
Before you begin, have these ready:
✅ Your current CV/resume
✅ A quiet place with good lighting
✅ A working camera
✅ A working microphone
✅ Stable internet
✅ A simple/professional appearance
⚠️ Don’t try to memorize your entire CV word-for-word.
You’re simply preparing yourself so you don’t waste your preparation/recording time trying to remember basic information.
3️⃣ KNOW THE PROCESS
The assessment follows this flow:
Get Started
➡️ Camera/Mic Permission
➡️ Instructions/Practice
➡️ Interview Prompt
➡️ Record
➡️ Submit
So don’t panic when you enter the assessment.
There is a process before you get to the actual recording.
4️⃣ USE THE PRACTICE/TEST RECORDING
If you see a practice option, USE IT.
This is your opportunity to check:
🎥 Whether your camera is working
🎙️ Whether your microphone is picking up your voice
💡 Whether your lighting is okay
🌐 Whether your internet is stable
Don’t wait until the actual interview recording before discovering that your microphone isn’t working.
5️⃣ PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIMERS
The assessment may show things like:
• Preparation time
• Recording time
• Retake option
• Submit button
Know what each option is before you start so you don’t become confused while recording.
6️⃣ YOUR ANSWER MUST BE 30–60 SECONDS
This is VERY important.
Don’t give a 10-second answer and don’t start telling your entire life story for 5 minutes.
Keep your response within the required 30–60 second window.
For the sample question:
👉 “Tell us about your favorite career experience so far.”
Choose ONE experience and explain it clearly.
You can structure it around:
What was the experience?
What did you do?
What did you achieve/learn from it?
Why was it your favorite?
Keep it natural.
7️⃣ DON’T OVERCOMPLICATE IT
You don’t need to sound like a news presenter 😂
Speak clearly, confidently and naturally.
The goal is to communicate your experience within the required time.
And please don’t read your CV word-for-word into the camera.
