Hindu secular girl from Kerala, Athulya Ashokan, converted to Islam some time ago and married a Muslim man named Risal Mansoor.
She often made fun of the movie The Kerala Story and shared Reels and Stories with her husband, saying:
“This is my love — this is the real Kerala Story.”
“There’s no such thing as ‘love jihad’ — this movie is fake.”
“I chose Islam on my own — no one forced me.”
But now suddenly frightening msgs are appearing on her Instagram Stories
→ “My life is in danger… Risal wants to kill me.”
→ “I tried to go to the police — no one is listening.”
→ “I’m being held captive at home. He beats me and threatens to kill me.”
→ “If anything happens to me, Risal Mansoor is the only one responsible.”
In several posts, she appears to be crying and visibly frightened. Some posts also show what appear to be bruises on her face. She has also shared screenshots that she says contain threatening messages from Risal.
The same girl who once said, “jihad is a lie,” is now reportedly begging for her life.
