Have you ever had a brilliant idea and thought: "Wait, can someone just steal this?" Or maybe you're finally starting that business, came up with the perfect name... and then lay awake at 3 a.m. wondering: "Can I actually legally use it?" Or perhaps you're a teacher playing a famous song during your lesson and thinking: "Am I breaking some law right now?" Intellectual property sounds like something for lawyers in fancy offices, but it actually touches all of us: entrepreneurs, creatives, teachers, freelancers, dreamers. The good news? I've invited a true expert to make sense of it all. Join us for a live conversation with Irina Potapkina, a seasoned trademark and design attorney with over a decade of experience in Russia and international IP registration. No legal jargon, no boring lectures - just clear answers to real questions. We'll cover: 🧠 IP 101: What even is intellectual property? 🏷 The main players: Trademarks, designs, patents, copyright, geographical indications - what's what? ❓ Your burning questions: - How do I protect an idea? - Do I really need a patent attorney? - How do I choose the right representative? - Do I have to register my rights? - How much does all of this actually cost? 💡 Branding tips: How to create a brand that's legally sound 🎨 Design protection: Keeping your creative work safe ⚖️ Fair use basics: What you can and can't borrow (yes, fellow teachers, this one's for us❗️❗️❗️) 🗓 WHEN: March, 6 Friday at 16.30 MSK 📍 WHERE: Zoom (code on demand) https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83305991429 👉 Set a reminder and bring your questions! #IntellectualProperty #Trademark #Copyright #Branding #DesignProtection #LiveTalk #LegalTips #Entrepreneurship #TeachersOfTelegram #SmallBusiness

⚠️ In this candid and inspiring conversation, Yulia Bukovinskaya shares her remarkable journey from flight attendant to English teacher - a path that took her from the skies above Europe to the surf coast of Bali and eventually back to Moscow. With warmth, humour, and refreshing honesty, she walks us through the dreams that launched her career, the realities that reshaped it, and the unexpected turns that defined it. 🌟🌟HIGHLIGHTS🌟🌟 ✈️ From boarding passes to lesson plans - Yulia spent three years as a flight attendant before realising her real skill wasn't serving, but teaching. Her English degree, originally a "backup," became her main act. 🧳 The suitcase that caused a crisis - One passenger screamed for a parachute after her seatmate joked his backpack was one. Yulia still laughs. Spoiler: there are no parachutes. 🌴 Bali without a safety net - She arrived with a job offer that vanished on arrival. Stayed anyway. Taught English for three years. Survived COVID lockdowns, wet masks, and police checkpoints. 🏄 Surf, teach, repeat - She never worked at a surf camp. But she taught travellers who couldn't spell their own names for airline bookings, and she learned to read waves instead of rosters. 🆘 English for emergencies, not exams - Her students don't need perfect grammar. They need to open accounts, call hotels, and ask for toothbrushes. Her first lesson question: "Where did you fail last time?" 🧑‍✈️ Turbulence? That's just the pilots joking - One pilot shook the yoke mid-coffee to show off. Now Yulia reminds herself: when it gets bumpy, flight attendants are probably playing mobile games in the galley. 🍲 Why she came home - Visa troubles, unfinished university, and three years without borscht. She missed her mother's cooking more than the sunsets. ❤️ The three-month plan that never ended - She intended to return to Bali. Then she met someone. Now they go together, every year, for a month or two. Moscow became home anyway. 💬 Her best advice - "Just do what you want. If you don't like it, you can quit. PS: And if you relocate to Bali, always check the expat chats before paying the street price." Solid life advice, really. 🎂 A course for her birthday — On 15 February, Yulia releases her travel English course: five modules, airport to hotel, with flight attendant hacks and zero turbulence advice. 🔥🔥🔥 If you want to know more, watch the whole video) You can use this as a podcast to improve your listening skills AND/OR gain some valuable insights and recommendations! ⚠️ All passengers for inspiration, please proceed to gate... this channel! Get ready for a story that’s less "direct flight" and more "fantastic layover in paradise." I’m thrilled to welcome Yulia Bukovinskaya for a live chat! Her career path is anything but standard: For several years she was a flight attendant, mastering the friendly skies. Then, she traded her wings for waves, moving to Bali for 3 years to live, surf, and teach English. Now she’s in Moscow, and she’s landing here to share the honest, funny, and real story of it all. We’ll talk about: ✈️ Life in the air: The highs, the turbulence, and the "silly questions" she still remembers. 🌊 Life on the ground (in Bali): Expectation vs. Reality, the surf, and the magic of a 3-year "endless summer." 🗣 The language of adventure: How she went from in-flight announcements to teaching English to travelers, dreamers, and fellow wave-catchers - and how that journey continues today. It’s the perfect mix of travel tales, expat insights, and proof that life doesn’t always have a pre-planned itinerary. Bring your questions about travel, moving abroad, or just how to ask for a surfboard without wiping out linguistically! 🗓 WHEN: February, 12 Thursday at 13.00 MSK 📍 WHERE: Zoom (code on demand) https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81998642080 #liveexpert #teachers #learners #Bali #LanguageTeaching #ELT #relocation

🌟Hello, my friends! 🌟 I’m thrilled to pull back the curtain on a project I’ve been quietly working on with the brilliant Andrey Zubakin (all laurels go to him, I’m the support crew ✨). From now on, I’ll be sharing our progress and results here so you can see firsthand the power of using AI in truly advanced ways. So, what is it? At its core, it's Advanced Prompt Engineering (sometimes even with a dash of basic programming logic). But for the end user – it’s designed to be simple. Most teachers are now adept at using prompts to generate pictures, videos, or various text-based assignments. Furthermore, platforms like Wordwall, Quizlet, TWEE, and Genially allow you to create exercises using your materials or their AI. So, why this project? What's the gap we're filling? Our goal is bold and straightforward: to create complex, interactive exercises/tests/games for FREE. Let's be honest: subscriptions to the services mentioned above add up. By my estimates, it costs me around 5,000 RUB monthly. Meanwhile, DeepSeek is free and capable of incredible things... if you know how to ask it correctly. Here’s what our approach delivers: ✅ Exercises are saved as a single HTML file and run in any browser. ✅ Fully automatic checking with instant feedback. ✅ Results are easily copied as a JPEG screenshot, allowing students to send them via any messenger in seconds. ✅ Features like timers, educational feedback, nuanced scoring (e.g., awarding more points for a correct answer on the first try) and so on are built-in. ✅ A HUGE plus: It works with ANY language. This should be a game-changer for teachers of Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, and other less-common languages. Are there drawbacks? Unfortunately, there are as it's a developing tool. For instance: ➖ You don't get automatic class-wide statistics (that would require a server). You receive a result screenshot (e.g., "Time: 2:55, Score: 18/20"). ➖ Currently, prompts work 100% reliably on PCs/Laptops. BUT we're actively working on mobile optimization, and there's already good progress – more on that later! ⚠️Want to see it in action? If you're curious to test this, write ⚠️ "I want to try"⚠️ in the comments below (you need to be subscribed to this channel). I'll send you a few sample assignments. Let's explore the future of accessible teaching tools together! #teachers #AI #EdTech #AIforTeachers #PromptEngineering #TeachingTools #ELT #LanguageTeaching #FreeResources #DeepSeek

Our lovely conversation with Oksana Solyanova explores the integration of yoga and meditation into teaching and learning, particularly in language education. 🌟🌟HIGHLIGHTS🌟🌟 🧘 Yoga as a Tool for Resilience: Yoga helped Oksana navigate a personal crisis and evolved from a coping mechanism into a lifelong practice that supports mental and physical health. 👥 Community is Key: The sense of community and friendship formed in yoga classes provided essential emotional support and enhanced commitment to the practice. 🧠 Parallel Between Learning and Yoga: Both language acquisition and yoga require persistence, regular practice, and organization to achieve visible, lasting results. 🌬 Breathing to Reduce Anxiety: Simple techniques like slowing and lengthening the breath can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering heart rate and calming the mind during stress or panic. 🧑‍🏫 Teachers as Psychological Supports: Educators often need to help students manage anxiety, especially before exams, by encouraging breathing exercises, breaks, and realistic preparation schedules. ⏸️ The Power of Pauses: Taking planned breaks during intensive study periods can reduce anxiety, improve focus, and lead to better long-term retention and performance. 🧘‍♂️ Meditation for Focus and Clarity: Short daily meditation sessions (even 10–15 minutes) can clear the mind, improve concentration, and enhance sleep quality, especially when using anchoring techniques like breath awareness. 🚫 Debunking Meditation Myths: Meditation doesn’t require special equipment, poses, or rituals—comfort, consistency, and a quiet space are more important than accessories. 💡 Anchoring in the Present: Techniques that focus on breath and bodily sensations help “anchor” individuals in the present moment, reducing anxiety about hypothetical futures. - 🌳 Prioritize Daily Self-Care: Even an hour a day spent walking in nature, meditating, or simply disconnecting from digital devices can significantly reduce stress and prevent burnout.
