So this is one of the sketches I made from imagination,
It is supposed to be even more rough but this is still very rough....
But why do this....? What is the goal....
Well, sketching is a very important method of learning... The more you draw the better you start to understand the most fundamental aspects of art.... But you can't do a fully finished drawing every time since you'll need to do thousands of sketches to get to even an intermediate level....
Luckily though you don't need to do a finished drawing every time you can do very rough sketches like this but still retain all of the information you'd need on your drawing.
And I can prove it...

So recently I've been trying to sketch in a much more different way from before....
This is in part due to the sketching workshop we have been having with processor Bekele Mekonnen at Alle school of fine arts and design
And in part heavily influenced by Park Jae Cheol (paperbluenet in Instagram), a concept artist in Korea.
Most of these sketches are me copying his works in order to have an understanding over this new way of sketching.
So to go more in depth with it the idea is to be able to capture the basic information of what U are trying to depict through very little drawing.
Don't draw all of it only what is important... It is waaay harder than it sounds but it is waaay more powerful than you expect in your journey of learning art....
The most important part here is to capture Ur subject as fast as possible with as little detail as you can.... But also the drawing must contain all the necessary information U may need to understand the subject in terms of form, proportions and likeness.

📢 URGENT: Session Postponed
Today's urban sketching session at Teferi Mekonnen School is postponed due to an unforeseen access issue.
Our contact for access is unreachable, and we can't proceed without authorization. We're disappointed too but we'll reschedule as soon as we get the green light.
Thank you for understanding. Stay tuned for the new date!

Wooohooooooo!💪We brought the prize home. Not one but two of them. 🏆 🏆
This year's Annecy is one for the history book as Sunday Morning 🤫 won two prestigious awards at this year's MIFA, Annecy Festival. One from the great The Walt Disney Company (Orion Ross) and another from the French animation author's organization AGrAF (Fabienne Gambrelle).
This was our country's 🇪🇹 first ever representation in MIFA and we came back with two wins.
Behagerlij is super proud of what God helped us achieve so far and we can't wait for what's ahead.
We'll share more about our journey in the coming days. But for now ---
Shhhhhhhhh! 🤫 It's Sunday Morning. Mom is still sleeping.😁

I had to cut out each piece of the chain and for the would I cut it out precisely so it would just fit without any glue

This time we had both a jewelry studio and they provided the bronze we worked with....
It was essentially a plate and we would cut it into the shapes we wanted using the saw in the image.
Then we would file (😭) and polish the dang thing.... And then U have shiny jewelry it's both easier and harder than it sounds.

I did get some professional help with the stitching later on to help with the lining and the ornaments....
After the display that is....
That's why it looks a bit different from the above pictures
This semester we did three collections all a family of three with a couple and a child (a very stylish family IG)
And one garment was chosen for us to make
