WEDNESDAY JUNE 17 2026 THE REAL SOURCE OF TEMPTATION But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed (James 1:14). The Word of God reveals something profound about temptation and how it comes. Temptation doesn’t begin outside; it begins from within. We just read it: “… every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust....” It didn’t say by someone else’s actions or external pressure; it says you’re tempted when you’re lured by your own lust. That means the source is internal. Only what your heart already craves can tempt you. So, when people fall into temptation, it’s not the environment that caused it but the inclination of their heart. It’s not what they were exposed to but what they were already attracted to. The Bible gives us the progression: “Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death” (James 1:15). First, there’s attraction, then contemplation, followed by conception, and finally, manifestation. It doesn’t start with the act; it begins with what was allowed from within. That’s why the focus should always be on your heart. The Bible says to guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). It’s about what you permit to take root within you. Many try to avoid temptation by avoiding situations; while that may be helpful, the real issue is the condition of the heart. A man is not tempted simply because something exists; he is tempted because something in him responds. This is why blaming others for your slips, errors, or temptations is disingenuous. The Scripture is clear: you’re tempted when you’re drawn away by what already has a hold on your heart. That means the responsibility is personal. And this isn’t to bring condemnation but understanding, because once the source is understood, the solution becomes clear. You don’t deal with temptation through fear; you overcome it with the light of God’s Word and by walking in the Spirit. When you walk in the Spirit, you will not fulfil the desires of the flesh: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). PRAYER / CONFESSION Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word that gives me understanding. I’m not led by wrong desires; I walk in the Spirit and manifest the nature of righteousness. I live above every influence of the flesh, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TEEVO PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, 17TH JUNE 2026 GROWING AND MULTIPLYING IN GRACE (He Abides in You) TO THE BIBLE - Ephesians 4:7 NIV “But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.” LET’S TALK Wearing a school uniform doesn’t make you the best student. Studying, learning, and growing give you the ability to excel. The uniform identifies you. The skills empower you. That’s how the anointing and grace work. There’s a vital distinction between grace and the anointing. Many use both terms interchangeably, yet the Word of God shows they’re not the same. The anointing refers to the consecration and indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, the empowerment that sets you apart for God’s purpose. Grace, on the other hand, refers to the divine enablement and favour granted you according to your specific calling and responsibility in the body of Christ. Every Christian has received the same anointing, for it’s the same Holy Spirit that dwells in us all. That anointing abides in you, never diminishes, and brings special grace into your life: “But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift” (Ephesians 4:7). However, grace operates differently. You can grow in grace (2 Peter 3:18), the grace on your life can be multiplied (2 Peter 1:2), and you can receive more grace, as the Bible says, “…He gives more grace…” (James 4:6). Yes, He gives more grace, but He doesn’t give more anointing. You can grow in grace as you grow in faith, in the knowledge of God, and the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace determines your scope of influence and effectiveness in the calling God has given you. Recognize, therefore, that while your grace can increase, your anointing is complete. You already have the fullness of the Spirit. Live with this understanding and allow the grace of God in your life to multiply through your knowledge of God and fellowship with the Word. Hallelujah! GO DEEPER 2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: SPEAK Dear Father, I thank you for giving me your Spirit without measure and for the grace to fulfil my divine calling. I walk in the understanding that I’m fully anointed and empowered by the Holy Spirit to accomplish your purpose for my life. As I grow in grace and knowledge, I have greater results in my life, impact, and fruitfulness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Did you know God loves to take care of you? Sure, He does! Remember Elijah’s story? He had enough, even during a famine. When there was no food in the land, God sent him to a widow’s house, and her jar of flour and oil never ran out (1 Kings 17:14). God doesn’t just give “a little;” He gives more than enough! God supplied for Elijah every day! That’s how God treats you too. He has blessings, ideas, help, strength, and grace waiting for you each day. That’s why Psalm 68:19 says “Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits...” So, instead of worrying about what you need, speak God’s Word as you declare: “God supplies everything I need. I always have more than enough!” SCRIPTURE READING Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I bask in the provisions of Christ for my life, health, and all that concern me. I walk in supernatural strength, supernatural health, supernatural supply, and supernatural abilities every day. My progress is unstoppable because I cannot be limited by sickness, disease, or the negativities of the ordinary life. As Jesus is above all things, so am I. The Holy Spirit has beautified my life. He brings colour into my life. I live a wonderful, colourful, beautiful, and productive life. The glory of God is beaming out of me with intensity. The Lord is my beauty, He is my sweet attractiveness. I am divinely enabled to see, think, say and, to do things that ordinary men cannot do. I am sagacious. I have an extraordinary amplitude of comprehension. I am a wonder and surprise to many. God’s wisdom is operative in me. God-themed products. This wisdom beautifies my life and causes me to inherit substance. The angels of wealth attend to me. The angel of money responds to me. The grace of God is working in me mightily and evidently. Being God's child is more than going to church or saying prayers. It means God lives in you, and His love is heard in your words and seen in your actions. The Bible says Jesus was raised from the dead for your sake to make you righteous (Romans 4:25). That means God sees you as pure and holy as Jesus is (Colossians 1:22). You're a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Glory to God! So, today, live with confidence. You're not ordinary, you're God's child, special, and loved by Him. Be bold, knowing God's life is in you, and you can display His love everywhere you go.
