MORE THAN A SYMBOLIC OBSERVANCE
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body (1 Corinthians 11:29).
The Holy Communion is far more than a religious ritual or symbolic observance. It’s a divine ordinance instituted by the Lord Jesus Himself, carrying profound spiritual significance and power. In having the Communion with His disciples, the Bible says the Lord took the bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them and said, “this is my body” (Matthew 26:26, Mark 14:22, Luke 22:19).
He didn’t say, “This represents my body”; rather, He was specific. He said, “This is my body which is broken for you.” Likewise, concerning the Cup, the Apostle Paul wrote by the Spirit, “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” (1 Corinthians 10:16).
Notice that the Scriptures never reduce the Communion to mere symbolism. Rather, through the power and ministry of the Holy Spirit, there’s a spiritual participation and fellowship with the body and blood of Christ. This is why the Bible admonishes us to discern the Lord’s body when we partake of the Communion. To discern means to recognize accurately, to understand spiritually, and to respond with faith.
When you receive the Communion, do so with the understanding of its divine import. The Apostle Paul explains that many were weak, sickly, and some even died because they failed to discern the Lord’s body correctly (1 Corinthians 11:29-30). But the opposite is equally true: when you partake with faith and revelation, the Communion becomes a channel of divine life, health, strength, and spiritual vitality.
As the food you eat becomes one with your physical body, so does the Holy Communion, received in faith, minister the realities of the divine life into your being. Therefore, when you partake of it, declare that the power of Christ is at work in you. Affirm that sickness, infirmity, weakness and disease have no place in your body because you’re a partaker of the life of Christ.
Never approach the Communion casually. Approach it reverently, joyfully, and with unwavering faith in the efficacy of Christ’s sacrifice. Through it, you reiterate the realities of His victory, life, health and righteousness, and that they’re manifested in you. Hallelujah!
Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, thank you for the blessing and power of the Holy Communion. As I partake of the bread and the cup, I discern the Lord’s body and walk in the reality of the divine life, strength, health, and spiritual vitality. Sickness, weakness, infirmity, and disease have no place in me, because the life of Christ is manifested in my body, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE ULTIMATE MANUAL
(Avoiding "Trial and Error" Living)
TO THE BIBLE - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
LET'S TALK
Emma: "Honestly, I feel like I just have to try things for myself, even if something goes wrong."
Lena: "But what if you don't have to take the longest route just to find your way?"
Emma: "So... you're saying there's a better way?"
Lena: "Yeah. God's Word. It guides you before the mistake ever happens."
Many young people assume they must make mistakes first before learning important lessons, but God's Word was given so you don't have to learn the hard way. It's the instruction manual for living. That's why the Bible says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). There's no better way to be a success in life than to follow the Word of God and do what it says. You don't need to ruin your future choices, friendships, or purpose before learning wisdom. God provided it in His Word.
You don't have to fail a semester to learn the value of diligence, or lose a good friend to learn the importance of loyalty. Learning God's Word and putting it to work will save you from regrettable experiences. David said, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105). That means the Word of God illuminates the paths of your life; it gives you direction and the "know-how" to succeed in life.
You don't have to live by "trial and error"; stick with the Word, and everything about your life will work out beautifully. Yielding to the Word of God and living by it will make you a wonder to others around you. They'd begin to ask how come life is so easy for you! The answer is simple: the Word of God has become the pilot of your life. Praise God!
GO DEEPER
Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psalm 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
Psalm 19:7-8 MSG The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. [8] The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy. The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes.
SPEAK
Dear Lord, your is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path! It's the compass by which I navigate through life, driving me in the path of righteousness, success, and prosperity. My heart will forever trust in your Word to do what it says, as it points me to greatness and good success in life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

BE ACTIVE IN YOUR LOCAL CHURCH
Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together...
The moment you were born again, you became part of God's family. The Bible tells us not to stop meeting together (Hebrews 10:25). This means you're not meant to stand alone---you're meant to be planted and grow with other children of God.
God wants all His children to belong to a local church.
The church is a place where you learn God's Word, are encouraged to do what is right, and feel loved and safe. In your local church, people also pray for you and support you.
The Bible says the Holy Spirit helps us pray according to God's will (Romans 8:26-27). As you attend and take part, you grow stronger and wiser in the Lord.
SCRIPTURE READING
Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
LET'S PRAY
Precious heavenly Father, thank you for making me a part of your big family. I'm active in my local church, and I serve you with joy, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

I have absolute mastery over circumstances, elements, and systems. Failure, sickness, defeat, and poverty are not part of my life. All I see, experience, and manifest are glory, righteousness, peace, abundance, and joy. I am in God’s perfect will for my life, and I function in alignment with His purpose every day. There are no impossibilities with me because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
Christ is made unto me wisdom. In Him, I have access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I walk in limitless understanding, insight, clarity, and sound judgment. I speak excellent and princely things, and the opening of my lips is for the right things. My words are full of power, righteousness, and truth. God has given me a wise and discerning heart. I devise the best solutions, and I function with divine intelligence.
I reign as a king in this life, changing situations and circumstances in my favour. I make decrees, and they are established, because the Word of God on my lips is God talking. I am a partaker of God’s divine nature; therefore, I walk in the supernatural life every day in Jesus’ name. Amen.

PROSPERITY CONVICTIONS
I affirm that I live a life of immense, vast and enormous richness. I am not destined to be poor, deprived, broke or miserable, rather God’s will is for me to prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. Prosperity and greatness have been imparted to my spirit.
As an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ, the silver, the gold, the cattle upon a thousand hills, the world and the fullness thereof belong to me. All things are mine! I see myself in this light for this is the truth about my prosperity. I do not see my job, trade, career, skill or business as my source of income, but as a medium to bless others.
I reject poverty, lack, want and everything that is inconsistent with the realities of the God-life. I live a joyful, prosperous life every day. Hallelujah!

RUN TOWARDS THE MARK
...this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).
When you study the life of the Apostle Paul, you’d notice an unmistakable singularity and definitiveness in the pursuit of His divine purpose. His focus was undivided. He wasn’t trying to pursue many conflicting directions at once. His eyes were fixed on the mark, on the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
This was also the mindset of the Lord Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 tells us that for the joy set before Him, He endured the Cross and despised the shame. He had His eyes on the prize. In the midst of agony, rejection, humiliation, and suffering, He remained focused on the glorious outcome. He saw beyond the pain and fixed His gaze on the fulfilment of God’s eternal purpose. And because He stayed focused, He won.
That’s the mentality you must have in your walk with the Lord. Don’t allow the distractions of life, worldly ambitions, pressures, disappointments, or temporary pursuits to shift your focus away from Christ and His calling upon your life. Keep your eyes straight ahead.
Many are busy and active, yet they’re running in the wrong direction. They're like an athlete running swiftly in a sprint race but away from the finish line. Speed alone doesn’t guarantee victory. It’s not enough to run; you must run toward the mark. You must know the purpose, the vision, and the calling that God has set before you.
No matter your profession, business, or responsibilities in life, Christ must remain your focus. He must be the centre of your aspirations, decisions, pursuits, and ambitions. When your heart is fixed on Him, every other aspect of your life finds proper alignment and meaning.
Therefore, stay focused on the Lord and on the eternal purpose He has given you. Press toward the mark with determination, courage, and unwavering faith. There’s a prize to win, and as you keep your eyes on Him and remain steadfast in His Word, you’ll fulfil your calling gloriously and triumphantly. Hallelujah!
Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, thank you for setting before me a glorious calling and heavenly purpose. My eyes are fixed on you, and my heart is steadfast on your perfect will for my life. I press toward the mark with courage, faith, and determination, fulfilling my calling victoriously, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

WALK ON WATER
(Keep Your Eyes on the Word)
TO THE BIBLE - Matthew 14:29-31
“So He said, ‘Come.’ And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, ‘Lord, save me!’ And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, ‘O you of little faith, why did you doubt?’“
LET’S TALK
One night, the disciples of Jesus were in a boat, far out at sea, and suddenly, they saw someone walking towards them on the water. Terrified, they thought it was a ghost, but it turned out to be the Master Himself. One of them, Simon Peter, dared to say, “Lord, if it’s you, ask me to come to you on the water.” Interestingly, Jesus didn’t say, “No! Walking on water requires lots of prayerfulness, boy!” Rather, He spoke one word to Peter, “Come!” Peter jumped out of the boat and began walking on the water
to Jesus.
But something happened next that changed the course of the story. Peter looked at the raging winds, and immediately, he began to sink. The question is: What was the connection between fear and the water? Why did the water—which, up until that time, had held him up—suddenly give way beneath his feet? Notice that as the Master quickly reached out to save Peter, He didn’t say, “Oh Peter, you stepped on the wrong spot;” instead, He asked him, “Why did you doubt?” It was doubt that deactivated the power of the word “Come,” which Jesus had spoken to him.
If Peter hadn’t doubted, the water would have held him up as perfectly as it did Jesus. Just like Peter, many young people often start strong in faith but get distracted by pressure, fear, or opinions. That shouldn’t be you. Never allow doubt to creep into your heart. Doubt breeds fear, and fear is of the devil. Doubt has robbed many of the opportunity to function at the level God has called them into. Build absolute confidence in the Word of God, for it never fails. All that Peter and the other disciples needed was the Word “Come,” spoken by the Master, and they all could have walked and danced on that water.
Learn to keep your attention fully on what the Word of God says, and you’ll never be overwhelmed by the circumstances of life. When group chats are buzzing with panic before a test, when everyone says, “This is impossible,” or when your own thoughts try to talk you out of believing big, choose to focus on what God has said instead. The same situations that challenge others will be your platform for victories. God’s Word is trustworthy and dependable; so believe it with all your heart and refuse to doubt.
GO DEEPER
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
SPEAK
My faith in God and His eternal Word is unshakable! I don’t doubt the integrity of God’s Word. I’ve made an unqualified committal of my entire being to the Word of God. I live by the Word of God, and I refuse to give consideration to any situation or information that’s contrary to the provisions of God’s Word. Hallelujah!
