Comparing negative numbers involves determining which value is further to the right on a number line, or which represents a higher value. The general rule is that the negative number with the smaller absolute value (closer to zero) is greater.

A composite number is a positive integer greater than 1 that has more than two factors, meaning it is divisible by at least one number other than 1 and itself. Unlike prime numbers, these numbers can be formed by multiplying smaller positive integers. Examples include 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10.
