Repost from ANTI-TECH APOSTLES🛠️
Theodore Kaczynski's writings remain to be some of the only works that give a serious answer to the problems of industrial technology. For that, he must be remembered.
He may be gone, but it is up to us to build the anti-tech movement. There is still much to be done, the fight has only begun.
"There will be no "collapse" the way some of these people think of it. It's not going to be like the movie "Dawn of the Dead" or whatever where one day suddenly shit hits the fan and prices skyrocket and everyone begins to riot and the SS comes marching down the street to kill everyone. There will be no "happening." It's far more insidious than that. Read the poem
"The Hollow Men" by TS Eliot and you'll understand.
You'll just notice that every day simple things will become a little more expensive. Everyone's homes and apartments will start to get smaller. Your work hours will get longer, but your pay will decrease. You'll see family and friends less, and find that in time you care less about them. Every day you'll find yourself lowering your standards for everything: work, food, relationships, etc. Job security will no longer exist as a concept. You'll notice houses and apartments shrinking. People will start hanging on to clothing longer and longer. Less people will get married, even less will have children. People will engross themselves in technological distractions and fantasy while never truly experiencing the real world.
Whatever dream people used to have about what their lives were going to be will become for them a distant memory. The only thing left for them will be the reality of their debt and their poverty. And every minute of every day they will be told, "You are stupid, ugly, and weak, but together we are free, prosperous, and safe."
That is the collapse. The reduction of the American man into a feudal serf, incapable of feeling love or hate, incapable of seeing the pitiful nature of his situation for what it is or recognizing his own self worth"

Although it contains a lot of classic 4chan schizo-ramble, I really do believe the full thread is worth reading. OP makes some good points regarding Technology and how algorithms and AI quietly shape human behavior for their own benefit.🤩

"[...] To many of us, freedom and dignity are more important than a long life or avoidance of physical pain. Besides, we all have to die some time, and it may be better to die fighting for survival, or for a cause, than to live a long but empty and purposeless life."

If by wealthier he means enslaved by our own invention, stuck on the same land, loss of our freedom, deteriorating our health and disconnection from our natural environment, then sure, we got wealthier.

“We could rebuild old Greece. Knock down the skyscrapers, burn modern art, wipe blank the entirety of digitization. We can level housing developments and turn shopping centers back into forests. We could leave behind a world of impurity and pain. Arguments settled in sword fights. Television replaced by live theater. Everything is marble and nothing hurts. We could tell the time via sundial and we could raise our precious young in the purity of sunlight. We could sleep and wake as our bodies felt. We could finally look up and see the stars again. They would reflect in our eyes, guiding the way when memory couldn't."

I would also like to add that they are in favour of this sanitized easily controllable society because their ultimate goal is transcending the limits of death, which scares them, because they are materialists incapable of fulfilling the power process.
Repost from ANTI TECH TALK
They spit on everything our ancestors cared about. They are disgusted at our humanity and the natural world, so they try to replace it with artificial nothingness.
Why? part of the answer is in their psychology. They are absolutely incapable of living a normal life. They cannot make friends, they cannot find lovers, they cannot find satisfaction, and they suffer from depression and autistically skewed worldviews.
These are the people that control our world. As Ted put it: "[they] are taking us all on an utterly reckless ride into the unknown".
Will we sit in the back and allow them to take us on this ride until we are no longer able to escape it?
At the end of the day, capitalism, communism, socialism, or any other economic system is yet another way of organizing industrial production.
🚫A lasting compromise between the machine, human freedom, dignity and wild nature can't be made.🚫
If you still believe it's all "the fault of capitalism" Check out this article for more information.

Repost from N/a
For long the global civilization of the total state has held the yoke of men tight, we have been beaten, trampled, and murdered in the name of progess and civility.
Man has been robbed of purpose, he has been raped by civilization and called "good" for submitting to it, and he has lost sight of what truly is and should be.

"The system does not and cannot exist to satisfy human needs. Instead, it is human behavior that has to be modified to fit the needs of the system. This has nothing to do with the political or social ideology that may pretend to guide the technological system... the system is guided not by ideology but by technical necessity. Of course the system does satisfy many human needs, but generally speaking it does this only to the extent that it is to the advantage of the system to do it. It is the needs of the system that are paramount, not those of the human being."

Repost from West Coast Action
"The techno-industrial system is exceptionally tough due to its so-called “democratic” structure and its resulting flexibility.
"Because dictatorial systems tend to be rigid, social tensions and resistance can be built up in them to the point where they damage and weaken the system and may lead to revolution. But in a “democratic” system, when social tension and resistance build up dangerously the system backs off enough, it compromises enough, to bring the tensions down to a safe level...
"... attacking the system is like hitting a piece of rubber. A blow with a hammer can shatter cast iron, because caste iron is rigid and brittle. But you can pound a piece of rubber without hurting it because it is flexible: It gives way before protest, just enough so that the protest loses its force and momentum. Then the system bounces back.
"So, in order to hit the system where it hurts, you need to select issues on which the system will not back off, in which it will fight to the finish. For what you need is not compromise with the system but a life and death struggle."
- excerpt from 'Hit Where it Hurts', by Theodore J. Kacyznski

"We're going to consume until we burn everything, we just find a new thing to consume every now and then. If solar panels can replace all our energy needs, we'll invent some new stupid fuck thing to use more energy and clean entire rain forests for more solar panels.Your blood will be filled with graphene fragments and dead nanobots polluting the air and water. They'll make good friends with the microplastics.
-A 4chan AnonThe consumerist desires of modern man will never be satisfied. This hunger for material possessions and convenience comes at a great cost to our freedom and the natural world. A lasting compromise can never be made. AntiTechRevolt
