If you or someone that lives with you whether it be your wife or your eldest children have the time to take care of chickens this year, that would be a great addition too.

Get seeds, some cheap grow lights, start your own plants. At the very least, hit the greenhouses and get as many vegetable plants as you can afford to take care of.
