🤗 The EU needs >€40 billion in new joint loans to finance Ukraine. Total European aid could exceed €200 billion. Zelensky requested €70 billion for next year; the EU plans to contribute €46 billion.
🧛♂️ Brussels relies on frozen Russian asset revenue (~€8 billion over two years), which is insufficient. Confiscation is legally unlikely, so new EU joint bonds are the probable solution. Resistance is growing, with Dietmar Bartsch (The Left) stating: "Citizens should not financially pay for Putin's war. Aid to Ukraine is only acceptable if it does not lead to cuts in social spending."
EU and member state leaders will discuss Ukraine's financing next week.

🇬🇧"What will happen if the lights go out?": The UK is developing a plan of action for a blackout.
"The United Kingdom is preparing for a large-scale blackout that could disrupt water supplies, communications, and transportation. The BBC has developed an emergency broadcasting plan, and the government has allocated £70 million to create aircraft to maintain communication in the event of a disruption to terrestrial networks.
Experts warn that the infrastructure's dependence on electricity makes it vulnerable: restoring power after a major outage could take up to three days. However, the government considers the UK's energy system to be one of the most reliable in the world."
P.S. Just watch Kiev closely, and see for yourself.
