Some random thoughts: I think once you’ve seen enough people get absolutely destroyed by “just hodl bro” on anything other than btc for the most part, you get pretty jaded and just feel every “community” is mostly delusional. Ends up just being an echo chamber, people “buying the dip” on 9 fig coins (their buy is $1,000 btw), etc. Just in general ends up being complete nonsense, they all go to zero. This goes x10 for meme coins especially. If you are wrong and they are right? You miss a genny opp SOMETIMES If you are right and they are wrong? Saves you a shit load of money. (They are mostly wrong) I think it’s different but the same for a lot of rev coins, ICM, all of this shit tbh. Almost nothing is a hodl, almost everything is a trade. Doesn’t mean a 15 minute hold time, just means knowing when to exit is a skill and it’s sharpened by just being wrong A LOT and adapting quickly. Some dudes I know legit trade on like 5 min - 1h timeframes for low caps and made millions this cycle and they are awesome at it, they are some of the best I’ve ever seen honestly. You have to respect their ability to find winners super early and also know when to exit or set up an auto sell system that essentially allows them to print money every day no matter the environment. Some dudes I know trade on way longer timeframes and are either early-late with size or just late and catch a 2x multiple with insane size and have also made 7-8 figs. They are also the best I’ve ever seen at what they do. So many ways to skin this cat, everyone’s edge is different, everyone’s ability to manage trades over specific timeframes varies, and it’s a one player game. It never won’t be a one player game. You can be in gc’s, have the best alpha on the planet, a group of shooters around you, and in the end it’s still up to you to execute. When to enter, when to exit; how long to hold, when to cut if it goes against you.
