❗❗Outcome of USA 🇺🇸 & Pakistan 🇵🇰 Counter Terrorism Meeting held in Washington DC 1️⃣ Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) expressed interest in resuming its intelligence operations within Pakistan. Earlier, there was tension between the two countries over intelligence-sharing & the presence of US operatives in the country. 2️⃣ There might be renewal of the Coalition Support Fund (CSF), which had been suspended by the Trump administration in 2018. The CSF is a US financial aid programme designed to reimburse Pakistan for its counterterrorism efforts. 3️⃣ USA expressed its intent to create a peaceful economic corridor through Pakistan to Kabul. 4️⃣ USA has requested Pakistan’s assistance in recovering military equipment left behind during their 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan. 5️⃣USA will also share intelligence with Pakistan to help tackle cross-border terrorism i.e. satellite surveillance to monitor human infiltration along Pakistan’s border. 6️⃣ USA will provide specialised funds and assistance to GHQ, Rawalpindi to conduct large-scale operations against so called terrorist groups.
