Sandy Springs Police arrested him February 16 after he and his crew impersonated public officials and told an 80-year-old widow her late husband had missed jury duty — then squeezed over $40,000 out of her in cash and Zelle transfers. Jackson was hit with Theft by Extortion, Exploitation of an Elderly Person, and Impersonating a Public Officer. The whole operation was coordinated using a contraband cell phone from inside prison. And yes — they were using regular burner-style phones and downloaded apps thinking it would shield them. It didn’t. Detectives traced the calls, followed the money trail, and took Jackson into custody in under two weeks. Bottom line: 9 out of 10 times you WILL get caught.
