قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله: Shaykh Sulayman ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: قال أسامة: يا رسول الله لم أرك تصوم من شهر من الشهور ما تصوم شعبان؟ قال: “ذاك شهر يغفل الناس عنه بين رجب ورمضان …” Usamah said: “O Messenger of Allah, I have not seen you fast in any month from the months as you fast in Sha’ban.” He said: “That is a month that people are heedless of, between Rajab and Ramadan.” الناس منهم من يغفل عن شهر شعبان، ومنهم من يحييه بالبدع كالصلاة الألفية وتخصيص نصفه بالصيام والقيام، ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يحييه بالصيام، فكن سنياً ولا تك غافلاً. The people—among them are those who are heedless of the month of Sha’ban, and among them are those who revive it with innovations, such as the “thousand-unit prayer” and specifying its middle night for fasting and standing (in prayer). Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him is our return. Our student, the diligent one in seeking beneficial lessons, Abu Mansoor Nasr bin Fahd Abu Mayalah, the Jordanian, passed away in Makkah before he could complete his Umrah due to a car accident. قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله: Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: فمن حقوق الزوجين قبل الخطبة، حق الاختيار، بأن يكون الاختيار، قائماً على التدين، والصلاح، وحُسنِ الخُلُقِ، Among the rights of the spouses before the engagement is the right of choice, which should be based on piety, righteousness, and good character. فيكون الرجل راغباً في المرأة، لصلاحها، ودينها، وحُسنِ خُلُقِها، Thus, the man should desire the woman for her righteousness, religion, and good character, وتكون المرأة راغبة في الرجل لصلاحه، ودينه، وحُسْنِ خُلُقِه، and the woman should desire the man for his righteousness, religion, and good character, لأنَّ هذا أساس الخير والسعادة، because this is the foundation of goodness and happiness. ومَن عُدم دينه، عدم خيره، Whoever’s religion is absent, his goodness is absent, لا خير فيما لا دين له، ولو كان فيه من أسباب السعادة ما فيه، there is no goodness in one who has no religion, even if he possesses other causes of happiness. ولذلك يقولُ رَبُّنَا سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى: ﴿يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتِ ﴾ [المجادلة: ١١]، That is why our Lord, exalted and glorified is He, says: “Allah will raise those who have believed among you, and those who were given knowledge, by degrees.” [Al-Mujadila: 11] فجعل الله عَزَّوَجَلَّ رفعة الدرجات بالعلم، إذا كان ذلك مقترناً بالإيمان، Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, made the elevation of ranks through knowledge, when it is coupled with faith, لأن الخير لا يمكن أن يكون، إلا مقترناً بالدين، because goodness can only be attained when it is associated with religion. فإن عُدِمَ الدِّينُ ، عُدِمَ الخيرُ ، ولو وُجِدَتْ أسباب كثيرة للخير في الإنسان، If religion is absent, goodness is absent, even if many causes of goodness exist within a person. فلا ينفع جمال في مواجهة أعباء الحياة الزوجية، بدون تدين، Beauty does not benefit when facing the burdens of married life without piety, ولا ينفع مالٌ بدون تدين، nor does wealth benefit without piety, ولا ينفعُ حَسَبٌ بدون تدين؛ nor does noble lineage benefit without piety; ولا بدَّ مع التدين من حُسن الخُلُقِ، and along with piety, good character is necessary, لأن طريق الحياة الزوجية طويل، فيه مُتَطَلَبَاتٌ، وعِشرة دائمة، because the path of married life is long, with demands, and constant companionship, ويُحتاج في تقويته واستمراره، إلى أن يكون مبنياً على التدين، وحُسْنِ الخُلُقِ. and its strength and continuity depend on being built upon piety and good character. حق الزوجين ص. ١٢-١٣ The Rights of the Spouses, pp. 12-13 https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله: Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: أيضاً من الأمور المهمة جداً أن تربط الناس بالعلماء الكبار. من أساليب ذلك أن تسمعهم فتاوى العلماء الكبار. تأتي وتحضر كلمة يسيرة فيها فتوى تسمع الناس اسم العالم وفتوى العالم وتحبب الناس في العلماء وتقوي ثقة الناس في العلماء. Also, one of the very important matters is to connect the people to the great scholars. One of the ways to do this is to let them hear the fatwas of the great scholars. قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله: Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: عندما قرأت تشكيل هيئة كبار العلماء وفقهم الله ونفع بهم سال الدمع من عيني فلأول مرة لا أرى اسم الشيخ صالح اللحيدان رحمه الله من أوائلهم، وقد أخبرني رحمه الله أنه لم يغب عن أي اجتماع للهيئة منذ إنشائها، رحمه الله وجزاه بما قدم لبلادنا وللأمة الفردوس الأعلى، وبارك الله في كبار علمائنا وجميع علمائنا الأحياء. When I read about the formation of the Senior Scholars Committee, may Allah grant them success and benefit through them, tears flowed from my eyes. For the first time, I do not see the name of Shaykh Salih Al-Luhaidan, may Allah have mercy on him, among them. He had informed me, may Allah have mercy on him, that he had never missed any meeting of the committee since its establishment. May Allah bless our senior scholars and all our living scholars. وصدق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “إنَّ اللهَ لا يقبضُ العلمَ انتزاعًا ينتزعُهُ منَ النَّاسِ، ولَكن يقبضُ العلمَ بقبضِ العُلماءِ، حتَّى إذا لم يترُك عالمًا اتَّخذَ النَّاسُ رؤوسًا جُهَّالًا، فسُئلوا فأفتوا بغيرِ عِلمٍ فضلُّوا وأضلُّوا.” And the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, spoke the truth: “Indeed, Allah does not take knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes knowledge by taking away the scholars, until when there are no more scholars, people will take ignorant leaders, and when they are asked, they will give rulings without knowledge, thus leading others astray and being led astray themselves.” فيا طلاب العلم أقبلوا على العلماء قبل أن تفقدوهم، واجتهدوا في تعلم العلم حتى يبقى العلم والهداية. Glory be to Allah, the partisan whose ideology is deviated, no matter how much he hides and conceals his wickedness, there must come a day when he believes the time has come to appear as a leader to spread his poisons in the ummah, and his head will appear. It is most likely that this day will be in a difficult time for the ummah, during which he exploits the emotions of the common people. والغالب أن الحزبي إذا أظهر نفسه يسقط، فلا يظهر قرن لهم إلا قطع.
